Argonaut Hotel at Fishermans Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The hotel

You might feel like you’ve boarded a luxury cruise ship as you enter this distinctive boutique hotel, perched on the edge of the bay. The Argonaut’s original red brick walls, rich wood beams and ‘deck floors’ help to transport you back to San Francisco’s nautical heyday. At the same time, the plush décor provides all you need to settle in to your charming surrounds. Until, of course, those views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz lure you out to explore all that is Fisherman’s Wharf.

I just want to mention that the Aronaught made us feel welcome even though staff were worried about their jobs, worried about Covid etc. The place was thoroughly clean and we felt safe in our few days we were there. On leaving they waived our resort charges due to the situation (which was a help as we had to pay extra for early flight) we obviously experienced Fishermans Wharf in the worse time but if we ever return - will definitely go to the Argonaught. The location is the best advantage to this hotel. The valet and the resort fees are a bit over the top! The restaurant is good, but there are better ones within a ten minute walk. The museum is worth a couple of hours of your time, and the price is right!

Stayed at Argonaut mid-March. City was already starting to shut down. Stayed in a queen double deluxe room. Bed was a bit soft but it was very clean and as usual, every appointment in the room was spot on. Staff was very attentive, especially concierge.
