Sheraton Fishermans Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The hotel

Located just a pleasant stroll from the shops and entertainment at Pier 39, and the ferry terminal to legendary Alcatraz Island, the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf makes a stellar spot from which to explore the beautiful city of San Francisco. But it’s how this relaxed and friendly hotel will make you feel after a ‘hard’ day’s dim sum dining, cable car riding and Golden Gate snapping, that’ll make you a fan. Rooms are bright, modern and supremely comfortable, there’s a heated swimming pool, and (our favourite) an outdoor living room complete with crackling fire pits. Add in a fitness centre – perfect for offsetting the inevitable best-ever meals in the local area – and you’re all set for wonderful San Fran stay.

First let me start by this is my 4th hotel during this trip, and of the 4 hotels this is easily ranked 4th. Without question. The parking is extremely expensive and self park. First let me start by this is my 4th hotel during this trip, and of the 4 hotels this is easily ranked 4th. Without question. The parking is extremely expensive and self park. When I arrived at the hotel I was treated by a rude valet/ bellman. This is the first view I had of this property, and I wasn’t impressed. I felt like a bad trip to Walmart. (Yes I did report it, and the lady at check in seemed concerned and would pass on the message.) I get in try to check in because the app told me my room was ready and there was a long line. When I came back the second time I noticed I should have been in the Elite line. I get my room. And I have a balcony overlooking all the maintence stuff of the building. So let me tell the positives. 1. Very close to pier 41 and 39. This is the reason I picked the hotel. 2. The room is nice, clean, safe. Bed is comfortable. 3. It did come with some neat amenities , bicycle and fishing pole availability. Plus a 15.00 credit at their restaurant (from the resort fee). I wouldn’t come back to this location because I didn’t feel valued. Read less

The hotel atmosphere is relaxed. They have some fireplaces at their terrace and pool, which are very cool. The manager is also great, he helped me processing my refund, when I book another room, and my family member failed to show up because of family matter. The room is actually non-refundable with no cancellation policy, but the manager is nice… Read more

We booked in for two nights for work. The hotel is really well set out. Big rooms, massive bathroom. Blackout blinds, good desk set up, comfy bed. The common areas were nice and functional. I would stay again. Only grumbles were the check in was disorganised and they couldn’t find our booking. We asked to check out late and someone walked in as… Read more

I would stay again. Only grumbles were the check in was disorganised and they couldn’t find our booking. We asked to check out late and someone walked in as I was getting changed, then came back banging again. I ended up giving up and coming down early anyway. They were responsive when I complained and I/ my work got a good discount. Read less

Unbelievable the service of post lodging. For months I have been in contact with the hotel to resolve a problem they have caused, including calls and emails sent to Mr. Shon Richardson. Unbelievable the service of post lodging. For months I have been in contact with the hotel to resolve a problem they have caused, including calls and emails sent to Mr. Shon Richardson. However, no answer was given! Absurd!!! I followed my email, and never answered: I stayed at the hotel from May 1-4, 2019 (hotels.com). By the way, I had a great stay. Upon check in, the attendant informed me that I would send to my room all purchases made over the internet and delivered to the hotel. Still, upon check out, I asked if there was any other purchase in the depot, and the answer was no. It turns out that when I arrived in Brazil, I realized that a single purchase was not delivered to me, although it was registered on amazon's website and DHL, delivery to the hotel. Read less
