Sheraton Fishermans Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco

The hotel

Located just a pleasant stroll from the shops and entertainment at Pier 39, and the ferry terminal to legendary Alcatraz Island, the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf makes a stellar spot from which to explore the beautiful city of San Francisco. But it’s how this relaxed and friendly hotel will make you feel after a ‘hard’ day’s dim sum dining, cable car riding and Golden Gate snapping, that’ll make you a fan. Rooms are bright, modern and supremely comfortable, there’s a heated swimming pool, and (our favourite) an outdoor living room complete with crackling fire pits. Add in a fitness centre – perfect for offsetting the inevitable best-ever meals in the local area – and you’re all set for wonderful San Fran stay.

This hotel was clean, close to the warf and had a nice gym. I booked 2 rooms with priceline in a view room with 2 queen beds. They gave us 1 bed rooms and rooms over the a/c and that was the only view. We had to change rooms 3 times before they got it right and they were not very nice and accommodating. San Fran is a city that can experience some crazy price swings for hotel room prices due to the many conferences held there. This hotel is decent post renovation - still around the mid-lower range of many of the sheratons I have stayed at before. This hotel is decent post renovation - still around the mid-lower range of many of the sheratons I have stayed at before. My main beef with them is the stupid price they charge for the breakfast buffet of ~$30. This is crazy and simply wrong - for that price I expect something closer to a more opulent spread of quality foods - don't get me wrong this is decent and sufficient but should top out at $25 and be more in the $15-20 range. Really left a bad impression on my stay there and the person hosting wasn't really accommodating all while this breakfast area is being renovated and they charge a destination fee!!! If you can find somewhere else to go - hit the bid!!! Read less

We stayed here in April with our boys and it was great! It is in a great location, did not need the car at all. We walked to Little Italy, Lombard Street, the Wharf and Pier 39. There is a CVS at the corner which was great. Rooms were clean and big. Bathrooms are a little on the small side. Check in was easy although they are remodeling so… Read more

There is a CVS at the corner which was great. Rooms were clean and big. Bathrooms are a little on the small side. Check in was easy although they are remodeling so the lobby is very busy. The concierge was also very helpful in directing us to nice eating spots, we had a very nice lunch at Mona Lisa because of her! The only real drawback of this hotel is the insane price for parking/valet it was like $75!!!! Other than that this hotel is in a great location and I would stay here again. Read less

Not a Sheraton standard!! It´s not what you expect when you book a Sheraton hotel. They should have revise it. We got a terrible room at a "kind of attached" area. Our room, on the first floor, had a window direct to the street and what is unbelievable, people from outside can see inside the room and you can hear even people talking outside.… Read more

The unique good point: location. Something about 200 m from Fisherman wharf. That´s it. Read less

The hotel is in a great location for visitors close to the wharf for alcatraz ferry (remember to book well in advance as they sell out fast) the area itself has a lot of homeless people hanging around but they do not bother you. As a star wood preferred member got a little free gift of 2 free drinks which was nice as the prices are very expensive… Read more
