We found this hotel to meet our needs for a week-end in San Francsico. The parking garage nearby was a plus. We found the staff friendly and helpful, rooms were cozy but clean. Would choose this hotel again. We received real value for our money.

The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. We asked for a different room and thinner pillows and were told the mattresses were brand new and were all the same. We were told there were no thinner pillows. The walls are very thin so you will hear every noise all night long including banging pipes at 2:30am. The sleep and rest factor here is very… Read more

Nice staff. Good internet. Spacious room. Comfy bed. A bit worn, time for renovation. Thin walls and windows so I heard my neighbour and the street all too well. It was during JP Morgan week so it was very expensive.

Hotel Carlton is a cute boutique hotel. All of the staff were wonderful. They are in the process of remodeling the property. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor (top floor). While it is quieter and more expensive than the lower floors, the rooms on the top floor have not yet been renovated (and are outdated). There are little touches that made this stay great. They have a filtered water station on each floor. They supply you with a glass water pitcher and glasses for the water filter. There is a happy hour with free wine and live music, which was awesome. There is a lobby with comfy couches and a fireplace. The restaurant that is in the hotel (Saha) was great. The food was good and the people who work there are very nice and accommodating. The walls are thin, unfortunately. We only had an issue one night when our neighbors came back to their room at 2pm and decided to talk very loudly. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I come back to San Francisco. Read less

The staff is friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to assist you. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The view from the upper floors are amazing. Had a very enjoyable stay here and would definitely return. The hotel is a quiet gem in the middle of a city that needs some work.
