It was just ok. Not what we are used to and expected for the price. Beds and pillows were awful. Great location though. The bell/doormen were very kind and helpful. Front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and disinterested but weren’t rude.

Hotel is beautiful and the views are amazing, but for the price it seems Hotel Vitale should kick it up, a bellman would be nice and accessible outlets (literally had to crawl on the floor to plug in my phone by the night stand).

And most of all the use of a microwave as I have a dry eye disorder that requires daily warm compresses. Of course we wish it were a little more affordable to stay at your fine hotel so please let us know when you have special discounts. We live outside Boston but our son lives in San Fran and we would like to visit more often and have your hotel become our home away from home! Read less

Quality, Service, Friendly Staff, spot-on location. A luxury property with water views directly across the street from The Embarcadero if you want to do the touristy thing in style. I Highly recommend the Hotel Vitale.

This is our favorite hotel when visiting SF over the years. The location is amazing and despite it being older now, it still is a wonderful hotel. It's worth paying more for the water view rooms. This is our favorite hotel when visiting SF over the years. The location is amazing and despite it being older now, it still is a wonderful hotel. It's worth paying more for the water view rooms. Fall asleep to the subtle light that comes through the window from the bay. Wake up and cross the street to the Ferry building for breakfast at Boulettes Larder. The classic bistro Boulevard is just steps away for dinner. The hotel staff is always professional and friendly. Our stay has always been enjoyable. Read less
