For those with a head for heights and a soft spot for incredible views, the Loews Regency is tough to beat. It occupies the top 11 floors of a 48-storey skyscraper and has the highest hotel rooms in San Francisco. Take in the views over the city and the Bay from the Skybridge walkways, with their floor-to-ceiling windows. No views beat those from the Sky Bar on the 40th floor — it’s the city’s highest outdoor venue and you may just be grateful for a cocktail when you're there.

We stayed on the 45th floor. There is a sky bridge connecting the two towers of the hotel with floor to ceiling glass windows bestowing one with a spectacular view of the city skyline (Salesforce Tower, Transamerica Pyramid) and the Bay Bridge. The view from our room windows were equally breathtaking as well!
Using the Four Seasons mobile app, we let them know what time we would like to check-in, our personal preferences for the stay (e.g. mattress & pillow types) as well as our credit card for a seamless check-in experience. We received both an email and text (optional) notification when our room was ready.
The room was beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom was big with a separate shower stall and bath tub. There are both Nespresso machine and electric kettle in the room. There are a lot of electrical outlets, USB charging ports, and a wireless Qi charger on one of the nightstands.
Located at the Financial District, it is a short walk to Union Square, Ferry Building, Westfield San Francisco Centre, and Chinatown.
The service from the staff was great – from check-in to the optional turndown service.
The only blemish on our stay was the in-room climate control – the sensor was not functioning which caused the automatic mode to turn off the fans. Switching to manual mode helps.
Note: the sky deck was also closed during our stay.
COVID-19
San Francisco County escalated from the red tier into the purple tier a few hours after we arrived. The gym was closed before we got to see it.
The room comes with a packet filled with hand sanitizer, masks, and sanitizing wipes. Additional steps were taken to make sure guests were safe include temperature screen at the check-in counter as well as daily temperature check for every guest (once a day) as you enter the building.
As for dining options at the hotel, you can either call the front desk to order, or you can order via the Four Seasons mobile app. In room dining menu can be found in the mobile app itself as well as on the hotel’s website. Both the Branzino and Flannery Ribeye Steak were delicious! We had quite a romantic and wonderful evening dinner together with a great view of the city skyline at night.

My new SF favorite, wish I could live here. This is the place to stay if you want an incredibly comfortable bed, jaw dropping views and a friendly and helpful staff set in a quiet and very convenient location that meets all your needs - whether you’re in town as a tourist or for business.

I am still thinking about my stay opening weekend at the FS Embarcadero. Safety is a priority during the pandemic, and was pleased to see the hotel has instituted protocols thru Lead with Care (Johns Hopkins). Temperature checks on arrival with PPE kits in the room. The hotel occupies the top 12 floors, so breathtaking views are all around. There is a sky bridge on the top floor, which has panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower and Alcatraz.
Room and bathroom were spacious and soothing.
A great location as a starting point to explore the city by foot or navigate by car.
If borders are remain closed for international travel, then SF will be my go to city and there is no hotel I would rather stay than here.
Thank you for a rejuvenating stay.
Reservations booked for December.

My husband and I travel relatively frequently, and the Loews is a force to be reckoned with, as far as hotel stays go. We stayed in February and had an outstanding time - our room was a bridge to bridge view, which in and of itself, was worth the stay. The bedding was to die for - enough to have me ripping the sheets off to check the brand...let's just say that they're top quality, and above my price range lol. We visited the hotel restaurant, Bear and Monarch, once each day during our three-day stay. The service there was impeccable and the bartenders made sure we knew all of the in's and out's and hotspots around the city, it being our first time to San Francisco. Did I mention the food? FANTASTIC. Drinks? FANTASTIC. I can't remember one time that we opened the door for ourselves when leaving the building, as the wonderful doormen were always there to take care of that, as well as provide us with directions and a friendly smile. I hear that this is making a switch to the Four Seasons within the next few months, and I hope that they continue to uphold the current standard!

Your holiday may be affected by travel restrictions or cancellations
We are continually reviewing our flying schedules, taking into account the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advice against all non-essential travel. Depending on when you are due to travel, your holiday may be affected and we’ll email you to let you know as least 21 days before travel.
Your next holiday is only a click away - our website has thousands of options ready to book. But if you need more help, just give us a call on 0344 472 9646.
With many customers needing our help, we are prioritising those customers due to travel before 31 December 2020. Log in to Manage my booking where you can message us about your options or you can give us a call. Bear in mind you may have to wait longer than expected. We continue to review this and working to open up these options to more customers. In the meantime check out our FAQs to see if this can help answer any immediate questions.
Rest assured; we will notify you as soon as we know if your holiday has been affected.

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
I returned early from holiday and have further questions?
