A bevy of sights, sounds and tastes, San Francisco has a vibe like no other. One of the world’s greatest cities, the hardest part may be deciding what to do first. Maybe start in Union Square or with a ride on a cable car to Fisherman’s Wharf? A chance to take that instagram selfie with the Golden Gate Bridge, then maybe treat yourself to a tasty clam chowder with sourdough? Foodies may sniff out local treats at the Ferry Building, or head to Little Italy or Chinatown. The choices are endless and you may be glad of a change of pace when you arrive in Mammoth. A chance to reconnect with nature as you stroll through forests, admire the wildflowers in the meadows and enjoy the great outdoors. The fresh mountain air is known for working up an appetite - dining al fresco on a sunny patio might just hit the spot. 


Stop 1 - San Francisco:

Like they’ve curated all the best bits of any city – and thrown in a whole bunch of exciting extras – San Francisco does everything for everyone. Beaches? It’s got them. Exciting architecture? Check out the skyline from Alamo Square. Shopping? Buy high-end in Union Square or hippy chic in Haight-Ashbury. Landmarks? Er … Golden Gate Bridge. It’s got it all.

Day 1: Flight to San Francisco

Fly daily from London Heathrow to San Francisco with Virgin Atlantic.

Days 1-4: Enjoy San Francisco

Despite its hills, bike is king here – and there’s nothing quite like cycling over Golden Gate Bridge, or curving your way down Lombard Street, or peddling your way past Pier 39 as you bike the Embarcadero. Still not convinced? There’s always cable cars instead, whipping you from Union Square towards Fisherman’s Wharf in no time. 

Stop 2 - Mammoth Mountain

Its name doesn’t lie – and it’s not just the mountain that’s mammoth here; the attractions come in gargantuan portions too. Its southern California address means Mammoth Mountain gets plenty of sunshine, but the winter sports come as thick and fast as the snow, with skiing (downhill and cross-country), snowboarding, snowmobiling, and other exhilarating action.

Days 4-11: Enjoy Mammoth Mountain

This may be California’s highest ski resort, but you can leave the skis behind and ride snow tubes down the slopes at Woolly’s Tube Park. Or swap the chairlifts for a gondola, scaling to the peak (11,000 foot high) for views just as thrilling as the snow sports. Or travel in luxury by snowcat, going off-piste on a scenic journey. 

Day 11: Fly home

Payment flexibility

Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.

We're flexible with your holiday plans

We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility. 

We'll be in touch by email letting you know how to register to change your holiday plans. You can also log into Manage my booking to find the details there.

You're holiday is going ahead as planned

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.

To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
