One of the most historic hotels in SF. The hotel is conveniently located on the hill overlooking San Francisco. The hotel has classic beauty, magnificent and tall. The hotel room is very beautiful, it looks great and looks great. Good service and breakfast!

What a landmark! 2) Cleanliness: There is a lot of TLC that goes into keeping this massive hotel so clean. Our room was spotless and every area we visited was well kept. Well done! 3) Tonga Room: What a unique gem. A floating band, specialty drinks, and a decor that will transport you to the islands. Wonderful! Now a couple of Cons: 1) Thin walls! You can literally hear every word of the conversation in the next room. We were awoken a couple times due to phone conversations. 2) Scaling the Hill: If you plan on walking around town (we definitely did...), Be prepared for a mighty climb up a very steep hill (Nob Hill). This is not the hotel's fault...but worth a call out. Lastly, we did enjoy the fitness center. Free weights, classes and cardio machines. Very nice for any hotel. Also, the staff were very pleasant. I wouldn't say over the top service, but there is a focus on keeping customers comfortable and happy. Thank you Fairmont Hotel! Read less

The building is striking, as is the entrance to the hotel. Unfortunately our room was quite dated, in particular the bathroom and rather small. Whilst there was nothing 'wrong' with our stay, it was not value for money and next time I would try elsewhere. We were also not told about the bar in the basement, which we only found out about from our… Read more

Need some fresh air then walk out on the 4th Floor to find a garden & patio seating. You won't believe your on a rooftop. Inside one shop I actually found a great pair of walking shoes for under $90 (super comfy & cute). We were able to walk to a lot of places from the hotel. Don't want to walk to the Pier then Uber is there within 3 minutes. The rooms are clean & comfortable. If you need room service well, that was great too! I would definitely stay again. Read less
