I’m not sure where to start about my experience here. It seems fitting to start at the beginning. From the moment we pulled up, we were treated like valued guests. Valet, bellhop, Sean, William and Eldridge, thank you so much. Sometimes people don’t realize the impression they leave on others, these guys are the best. Check in was efficient, the… Read more

Valet, bellhop, Sean, William and Eldridge, thank you so much. Sometimes people don’t realize the impression they leave on others, these guys are the best. Check in was efficient, the hotel is beautiful with high ceilings. Sean helped us with our bags and we made our way to the golden gate suite. Wow. The views from the suite are unforgettable. We took Sean’s advice and had dinner at the Tonga Room - it was so good we brought our friends back the next night for a memorable dinner and good time. I didn’t get the hostesses name, dark hair young lady, a big thank you for your infectious personality and warmth. Our two nights at this hotel are some of my fondest vacation memories. Life is short, do yourself a favor and stay here sometime. Read less

I have long looked forward to visiting San Francisco and staying at the Fairmont. My stay did not disappoint. We enjoyed the hotel, the service and hospitality of Eldredge (Bellman) was exceptional! Truly Five Star!!!

The internet was not working the entire time during our stay. A engineer took it upon himself to walk into our room uninvited when we did not answer the door. we expressed our concerns with the front desk upon check out and was told a manager would reach out to us. To date we have not received a call from a manager.

We are here now and the hotel is beautiful. Rooms are large like all Fairmont hotels. All my interactions with service has been fine. No complaints. Concierge has been fantastic. Not sure why other reviews were so bad but know SF has been having a lot of staffing problems. Maybe that was the cause.

Well located, next to Union Square and Piers. But only if you like to walk (long walks) with up and downs on the hills. The general staff (check-in and check-out) it was normal, nothing exceptional. I cannot say the same about the restaurant staff, i had a terrible service with long waiting to order, to bring your food, to bring the check. There… Read more

I cannot say the same about the restaurant staff, i had a terrible service with long waiting to order, to bring your food, to bring the check. There is a lot of space to improvement and certainty it was not a standard to this kind of hotel category. The room it was located on Tower Building, high level and great view. It was big, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was great either, but the bathtub was not working, I became so frustrated, after a long walk I needed and I could not use. I had some lower and higher experiences on this hotel, if someday I came back to San Francisco, I will look for another one. But it's up to you!!! =)) Read less
