Gorgeous location, but price of rooms outrageous for the quality provided. Doors, windows, furniture, plumbing, comfort seem decades out-of-date and poorly maintained. Seems to suggest a maximizing of profits while minimizing costs. A property like this deserved much more care. And you should not be trying to recoup 2020 losses by squeezing higher… Read more

Beautiful property and location. Unfortunately the first views and experience of the Lodge are of all of the dirty laundry at the laundry facility and the dead grass of the parade grounds. Upon check in was not welcomed but the agent and made to feel inadequate for my room choice by enduring 10 minutes if an upsell assault. Mind you - rates were not cheap at over $1k a night in the weekend and I didn’t reserve the lowest room class. Room was not well cleaned and attention to detail was non-existent. Valet staff were fantastic and super friendly. You do not get what you pay for here. I had to make all reservations separately for the hotel, restaurant and spa. When sharing that we were coming up for a special birthday visit, I only received canned responses from the concierge when I asked for specifics on requests made. Read less

Disappointing all around. This place is way overpriced for the value you receive. Look elsewhere. The food is terrible — their meeting room furniture is uncomfortable, and the carpet in my room smelled like mildew. A complete disappointment.

I have stayed at CAVALLO Pt many times previously and had great experiences. They have changed, and I would strongly recommend taking your time and money to a better establishment. Even if you are a hotel guest you cannot access facilities like the pool or fitness center without a spa service. Even if you have a service, your time is limited. No ice makers working, housekeeping banging on the door before 9am on a Saturday and staff clueless as to how to listen or problem solve. Truly disappointing as I came here for a special birthday and it was pretty much ruined. Avoid if possible. Read less

Good location near Sausalito, but property is a little worn. Room was dated and although clean it was not what I expected. Service was mediocre. Not sure I would go back for the price. Meeting space was ok.
