Built in the early 1900’s and well taken care of. You can see remnants of the early days, but nicely blended into this cute boutique hotel. Good price for 2 doubles, not cramped, nice and roomy, very clean, very comfortable beds. Nice clean decor in black and white. While this hotel is in an OK location and is priced better than other properties in the Union Square area, I had several items that caused my stay to be less than stellar. On one day of my 3 day stay the elevator didn't work and lugging things up five flights was not fun. My room was also cold and there's no way to adjust the room temperature.… Read more

On one day of my 3 day stay the elevator didn't work and lugging things up five flights was not fun. My room was also cold and there's no way to adjust the room temperature. When I arrived at 1:30 pm on a Sunday, I was told I could not check in and had to wait to exactly 3:00 pm. Kinda annoying and I'm sure there were a few rooms they could have checked me into. This hotel really disappointed me. The reception/ communal areas are all ok/ nice. The rooms are awful- very dingy, dusty & not clean. The walls are paper thin meaning you hear everything as people walk the corridors. Rubbish was left outside our room daily and it stank!!! The reception staff were incredibly rude. One highlight is the bar....… Read more

Great for Hilton-hosted conferences or quick access to downtown! Good food in the Douglas Room. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very fast internet. The exercise room, however, is a joke. It's the size of a bathroom!

Location of the hotel is good, the rooms are small, with very little in the way of storage or furniture and some have no view at all. The bathrooms are dated. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean if sparsely furnished.
