Run far away. First off, despite where they say the are located, it’s in the Tenderloin District. I was scared to walk anywhere around it! Then they charge you $33 a day for their amenities, which was not communicated to us prior. They don’t have any amenities! They say it’s for WiFi but we didn’t use the WiFi. The walls a paper thin! There’s no air or thermostat so you burn up all night. The bathroom is literally the smallest I’ve ever seen. Just run from this place! Run fast! Read less

Very nice, comfortable and centrally-located hotel. Room was surprisingly spacious for downtown San Francisco. Excellent coffee shop attached to lobby. Remember to budget about $40 / night for car parking downtown (this will be the same for all hotels).

I arrived and realized I left my purse on BART. I freaked out but two staff ladies helped me out and my son and ending up let us stay there without any ID and credit card. I never recovered my purse but able to get some cash and I had a great stay in SF. Definitely would love to go back there. Thank you Tilden Hotel!!

Apparently the valet service package, which is supposed to bundled into the room cost, only "discounts" the valet service fee they tack on at the end. And none of the clerks knew anything about this bundled package until it was time to charge extra for it upon check out. The clerks were rude and unhelpful. Rooms were tiny, the bathroom felt like… Read more

And none of the clerks knew anything about this bundled package until it was time to charge extra for it upon check out. The clerks were rude and unhelpful. Rooms were tiny, the bathroom felt like it could only be navigated by a child-sized person. Additional taxes and fees were almost $130 more than the room charge itself; total room cost came out to $23 more than I was told it would. A terrible experience that no one there cared to correct. It's tough to find a reasonably priced hotel in SF. This is one of them. It was clean and in a nice location. It's also right across the street from one of the convention centers and there were no homeless people on the block.
