We have just returned from a short trip for my Wife's 40th Birthday, and stayed here for 1 night at the end of our trip, after staying with a friend. We were so impressed we wished we could have stayed longer! The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and polite. A problem with our TV on check in was resolved without a fuss (they just removed the TV and put in a replacement!). The hotel itself has a sophisticated art-deco style which we really loved, and the room matched, with some modern touches like usb chargers in the lights. No request was ever too much, and they kindly held our bags before we left for a late night flight on the day we checked out. Its located really close to Union Square, which is great for shopping, getting on tour buses and the traditional cable cars. Also the theatre district is right next door also! When we come back to San Francisco, we will definitely staying here again, this time for longer! Read less

The boutique experience was stellar and the staff were very friendly, engaging and highly attentive. How refreshing and so delightful. The room was stylish and clean. We also enjoyed the food and exceptional service at the bar. One of the best stays in my many stays in SF. I am staying again and again. This is now my go to place and first choice to stay while I'm in town for business. Read less

we enjoyed out stay, good size room, good condition, just strange that when we checked in the bathroom door was locked so we had to call the front desk to open it! The location is very central but a little sketchy..

I stayed there for a night before I departed SF. The decoration of the hotel is quite stylish, room condition was great and modernised. Toilet condition was okay. And the room had enough lighting. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

Having booked Union Square Plaza Hotel on Geary St online, we travelled from Miami to San Francisco only to find out our choice had been wrong as Union Square Plaza hotel was overall like a 19th century hotel. We endured to stay one night there till someone helped us find the place that saved our SF stay: the Adagio Hotel just meters away from the other one and with a little bit of more money, we ended up in a luxurious room with a large TV, comfy bed, and huge windows overlooking the city. Nice bars, great customer service was like going from rags to riches. The moral of this story is never trust pictures but read reviews Read less
