Hotel Triton

The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Triton is one of the trendiest hotels in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, including suites designed by celebrities and art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotels you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown. With a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your room, in-room spa treatments, and a wine social hour each evening, we think it’s probably better.

Rooms are well appointed and comfortable, the lobby is quirky with a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed some welcome little perks including a free glass or two of wine or beer on the afternoon, and 10% discount in the next door cafe. The best thing about this place however is the staff and management, who couldn’t be more welcoming, efficient and friendly. Our three nights there were perfect, we’d love to return. John and Kath. The hotel lobby is very nice and inviting...the hotel is older and the rooms are small but we really didn't mind since everything was clean. The location to Chinatown couldn't be better (the main gate right across the street). We also walked to the Ferry building and pier (15ish minutes). The only negative was we did have someone walk into our room while we were there which was alarming. We called down to the front desk and they said the property was secure and that we shouldn't worry... I didn't sleep much the first night after that instance. Not sure if it was a maid or someone with our same room key?? Read less

I stayed for 6 days and, while there was some noise because I was in a room facing the street, I would definitely stay there again. Marc and Eddy at the front desk were extremely helpful in recommending places to eat and shop. Thank you very much!

The Triton is in a great SF location....at the gate to Chinatown. Their afternoon wine/beer Happy Hour is very nice. But the best part of staying there is the staff. They are all helpful, friendly, and caring. I especially commend and appreciate Eddie and Robyn!!! I will always stay at the Triton when in San Francisco!
