Would probably give it 2.5 stars of that were an option. I got a deal on the price and was only in town for one night so it worked. The room is very small and the bathroom shower was ridiculously small and almost impossible to keep the water in. Could find a thermostat in the room to save my life. Radiator leaked so the carpet around it was wet. Lady tending bar was not very friendly. Spent most of her time watching the TV. I did like the area by the bar with the pool table, darts, etc. Lobby staff was very friendly. I would look at other options first but would return here if I got another deal. Read less

I was in SF for one night for business ... booked just a few days before my arrival, the room would have been quite nice had it not been for the small window overlooking an alleyway. I didn't expect a cityscape view but for $300+ I would have liked a better window! Bed was comfy and the room had all the extras, including a robe!

I stayed at the King George when attending a conference in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The lobby area has lots of space to relax which was very welcome. Nice hotel at a reasonable price.

Beware this hotel has big problems with sound and heat insulation. It seems that the bathroom window is always open:it is very cold there and all the noise of the street arrives directly into the room. Earplugs are needed.

This unfortunately is the end of the positive comments The room was clean but very tiny. Despite being on the 6th floor was noisy all night. Drunks, homeless and police cars will keep you awake until 3/4 in the morning. Windows are single glazed and offer no protection from noise .was When I complained I was told "yer on the street side of the building" great answer but didn't solve my problem. The bar downstairs is poor, (despite having darts, pool, shuffle board and sports tv)this is mainly due to staff attitude.and stocking levels of beers. They never had what I asked for throughout my visit, and made no attempt too rectify the situation. I would not recommend this hotel much better options available Read less
