The hotel is very old but well maintained. Unfortunately smell of "old" is present. Rooms are small but cozy, although the carpeting is old and stainsy. Overall for the location the hotel and the price it is of a great value

However, if you are not 'small people' :-) avoid The King George. There was literally NO room whatsoever in our room. We lived out of our suitcases for the 5 days as there were 4 or 5 hangers in the smallest wardrobe I have ever seen. We fell over the cases on a few occasions as we had to walk on them to get around the bed. The location is really good. If you are staying 2 nights with hand luggage only, go for it! Read less

By far best hotel I've stayed in USA , the quaint British feel makes it feel home from home. The friendless of the staff , Cleaniness of the hotel was excellent. Some really good Indian restaurants nearby.

Plenty of places to eat nearby including a 24 hour diner next door and only a cab ride to Fishermans Wharf and Panhandle Park. Disliked · Room could have been bigger but rather cozy. Stained cushion and curtain in bathroom. Carpet was rather worn and decor could have done with a lick of paint. Some nights a lot of homeless outside hotel due to hostel down the road. Use to it as live / work in London but needs to be mentioned. Apart from that it didn't spoil our stay - Stiff upper lip etc. Read less
