My room was not what I expected at all as in it was about half the size I was expecting. Thought I was getting two double beds, but it was just one double. So communicating the size of rooms is not quite right. I was too tired to ask the front desk after checking in. But it was wonderful to stay right near Union Square and it's right on the cable… Read more

So communicating the size of rooms is not quite right. I was too tired to ask the front desk after checking in. But it was wonderful to stay right near Union Square and it's right on the cable car lines, which makes transportation easy! It's an older building in San Francisco, which makes it unique. It's been modernized enough to make it classy. The entrance: also weird. I thought I was walking into a restaurant initially and really wasn't sure I was in the right place, but just walked toward the back of the entrance and they asked me if I was checking in so it became clear. The restaurant in the front is really great for breakfast. Read less

Quiet room. Very good location. Less expensive than the Hilton but a better hotel in every category. Union Square is within one block. This hotel is a nice combination between old and new. Definitely worth considering when staying in downtown SF.
