Hotel Andra

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Blessed with a central, downtown location and calming, residential vibe, the boutique Hotel Ändra makes wonderfully easy to feel at home in the Emerald City. From the warmly decorated, ‘living room’ lobby to rooms and suites suffused with contemporary Scandinavian details, the hotel pulls off style without a hint of stuffiness. Meanwhile, foodies are in for a treat as the Ändra is home to Hot Stove Society – a year-round cooking school operated by Tom Douglas Restaurants. Take a class, or merely enjoy some of the finest food you’ve tasted – it’s your holiday, after all.

This is an exquisite property. And it is most definitely my favorite boutique hotel in the Pacific Northwest. And one of my favorites in the country. An easy walk to Pike’s Market, plenty of good restaurants, and the rooms are fabulous.

The location is walking distance to the city center, Pikes Market, cruise terminal, local trains, water front, shopping centers, movie theater and bus hubs. About five blocks to train directly to/from airport. Multiple bus lines stops roughly 2 to 5 blocks away, making it an easy access to the city center and nearby hoods. Lots of cafe nearby, thought some are closed on the weekend; bakery across the street, in-house cafe, bar and restaurant. Fourth Avenue is hotel block, with high end hotels. Sadly homelessness to be an issue here, along 3rd Ave. I recommend to stay on 4th and 5th ave. They not aggressive people but not 100% comfortable. but I never felt unsafe even at night. I apply. Breakfast is not included but options around, donuts. The staff was beyond lovely. Stay for the service. The room was relatively quiet on the higher floor, nice bath products, clean, spacious (yes for hotel standard), modern, yet quaint. They offer complementary morning paper; such a treat these days, a modern hotel with a nostalgic practice. I was the offer water at the front guest area. Read less

Probably the nicest staff of anywhere I've ever stayed. Down to earth, helpful - they set a tone from the start that this would be a special but comfortable stay for myself and my son. Perfect location with world class restaurants right next door and serving as room service, close to shopping and Pike Place and the monorail, and shockingly quiet for such a central location. We were on the 5th floor on a Friday night and didn't hear one bit of noise. Highly recommend, and Hotel Andra is now my go-to for any trip to Seattle. Read less

The best part of the hotel is their staff and the location. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Location is close proximity to shopping, Pike's place and lots of great restaurants. The only con was probably that the hotel might be a bit bit dated. The door handle for the wardrobe and bathroom kept dropping. hahaha
