I had booked a large suite room and it was just as it appeared in the pictures - clean, large and tastefully decorated. Free wifi, and a massive room. The Dahlia Bakery across the street has fantastic baked goods and the Assaggio Ristorante down the street was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and it wasn't until I got back from my trip that my friend mentioned it is one of Seattle's haunted hotels. HOT TIP- The front desk agent informed me that parking was free after 7 pm and on Sundays....By the time we got checked in and stuff up to the room, it was almost 7 pm so I found a FREE parking spot across the street and our car was parked there for the remainder of the trip. Found this hotel as it was one of the better deals in walking distance to Pike Place and the waterfront. Upon the arrival of our flight, we looked for the airport shuttle the website suggested was available and couldn’t find anything. Finally called the hotel who corrected that they didn’t actually have a shuttle but had an arrangement with a car service for $45 one way. They took care of that for us which was pretty fast. Upon arrival at the front desk, I asked if there was somewhere we could store our bags as we were several hours ahead of check-in time. The employee we were dealing with was Armon, and he told us he took the liberty of checking us in when I called from the airport and that our room was ready. The standard room was very spacious, with a ridiculously large closet area that seems like a bit of a waste of space. Bathroom was pretty small but adequate. Nice spacious seating area. Beds were comfortable. Based on the setup of the room, I believe the building may have formerly been an apartment building or residence, as the hotel is definitely older but nicely remodeled. Ice in the ice machine was pre-bagged which was a nice touch cutting down the risk of germs. Back in the lobby, Armon provided personalized recommendations of places to eat and visit based on what we indicated we were looking for. In fact the whole check-in experience with Armon was more reminiscent of dealing with a concierge at a high end hotel than what we were expecting from a old refurbished boutique hotel. The lobby was nicely laid out, and the restaurant attached had a good menu. The fitness centre was a little disappointing but it was a small hotel and I’m sure space was limited. Check-out was also a breeze and the car service we booked the night before arrived early and was waiting for us. I would defined recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Read less

Housekeeper appeared very annoyed when I went to my room while she was cleaning. I went to quickly pick up an item. Housekeeping left a chemical on the toilet that was noxious. Rickey, at the front desk, is unhelpful and terse. Bathroom is very, very small. Electrical outlet did not work. :/ Movies cost $20 plus tax. Minimal TV channels. Beds were… Read more

However, it was the friendly and attentive staff that made our stay a pleasant one - they saw to our needs immediately and were friendly and gracious. I will definitely stay here again - Pike Place Market, the SAM, shopping, the Amazon spheres are all within a 15 minute walk along with numerous restaurants in the area. The only downside to staying in this area is the number of homeless in the area - generally you are left alone, but be on guard. Read less

The location was close to many excellent restaurants, including Lola which is right by the lobby, and walking distance to many of the places you'd likely want to see while visiting Seattle. And all with a friendly smile from everyone that works there. Perfect. When I come back to Seattle, I know where I am staying!! Read less
