Nice coffee bar in front with fireplace and seating. Needs improvement: Front desk staff rarely answers phone, difficulty with checking in and room ready times, no airport to hotel shuttle, need for more moderate priced food selections. Kudos/shout outs: Ron took such great care of our entire team with on-time and quality meals and snacks. He managed every special request with a smile and efficiency. His great enthusiasm, care and service was greatly appreciated by our team! Give Ron a raise and promotion! Need to know: Stay away from 3rd and Pine. High crime area. Several incidents occurred there during our stay. Avoid and Uber. Read less

Very well located in the center of Seattle close to shopping, restaurants, Seattle Symphony. Remodeled old classic Roosevelt Hotel. Nice rooms but small with a very small bathroom. Has a great bar Rider and a fantastic restaurant by the same name. Valet parking very tight.

First and foremost, the location of this hotel can't be beat, if you're wanting to visit downtown Seattle. We stayed there without renting a car, and had a wonderful time walking and taking Seattle's various public transportation to get around. The room was quite small by today's standards, and we had a view of a brick wall/alley. Everything we needed was there, and we gradually realized the room was just fine - we didn't come to Seattle to sit around in the room. The appointments were high-quality, and the whole places oozes charm. Read less

You are right in the center of downtown and in walking distance to Pike Place and Post Alley, Pionner Square etc... You are just a short drive away from Capitol Hill. There is lots of shopping around and resteraunts, walgreens, target. At first I was worried when I didn't see an outlet in the bathroom, but just like a lot of other historic hotels, they provide outlets right OUTSIDE the bathroom which worked just fine. I like that although the room is updated and renovated the historic flare is still all through the hotel. You get nespresso in your room which I Loved, it comes with a fully equipped mini fridge, a view of downtown AND let's not forget complimentary cocktail hour for guests!!! We will be back to visit again!! Read less

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Theodore during Thanksgiving and I had a lovely time. The hotel was right in the middle of everything in downtown, and walkable to Pike Place Market. Its also just a short walk to the train that takes you to the stop for the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, etc. I had a corner room so it was nice and spacious with a couch. The bathroom was spacious too. I love the design of the tiles! I could hear the sirens at night since I was only on the third floor but I didn't mind it as it only happened once or twice. However, because I was on a low floor, I got to watch the Macy's Holiday Parade from my room which was awesome since it was crowded and cold down on the streets! Other than that, I never had any issues with noise, even though I was right near the elevator. I also used their valet service since I had rented a car and didn't have any issues with that. They were very accommodating whenever I came in and out and I never had to wait too long for them to pull the car. Overall, a great short stay in Seattle and I was very happy to stay at the Theodore.
