Motif Seattle

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Bang on trend, downtown’s Motif Seattle isn’t just well-located, it’s also well-kitted out. We’re talking Amazon Alexa in your sleek and chic guestroom (just in case you want to ask for fresh towels or check out what’s happening in Seattle tomorrow). We’re talking travel musts, like a 24-hour fitness hub. And we’re talking uber-cool social spaces, like the popular rooftop deck — an urban patio that’s been strung with lights and features al fresco fireplaces, city views, and the Northwest Pacific menu of its fashionable Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails. All this within walking distance of favourites like Pike Place Market and the Pacific Place Mall.

Small rooms, comfortable bed and cool decor but A/C was turned off for the winter and the windows don’t open. (Couldn’t get the room below 71.) Biggest negative was the hairs in the shower and the big long hair on the coffee mug. 🤢 Too many other good options to bother coming back here.

My husband and I recently spent a night at this hotel. Overall the hotel is nice, but the service needs some improvements. I am Globalist with Hyatt and this location is now affiliated with Hyatt. Upon checking in I asked about an upgrade and told there were none available. However, when looking at the app, they had all the upgrade options available - that's supposed to be guaranteed for Globalist. We had an appetizer at Frolik - the food was very good! They do add a 20% service charge to your bill, which I didn't catch the first time, just a reminder to read your bills before you sign/pay. We used the exercise room and half the TVs wouldn't turn on, and the garbage bin was beyond overflowing (see picture). We had breakfast again at Frolik and the food was very good. This time I caught the 20% service charge. The room itself was fine, pretty basic. Bed was comfortable. The shower didn't have much water pressure. Overall a good stay, but they need to up their service. Read less

This is to express our most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Motif Seattle for hosting the 45th Association for Moral Education annual conference with such grace, commitment, enthusiasm, and so skillfully and passionately, and it was not easy as we represented a diverse group from 27 countries and every continent. Our contact person has been Ms. Jennette Johanson, Conference Service Manager, and in this role and in many others she has proved to be extremely efficient and caring. In our opinion, Jennette exemplifies what we call "genuine hospitality" which is not just part of the job but of her nature -- this made our conference so easy to run. Jennete was always so accommodating and attentive to every detail, every request, and every guest that all of us, organizers and conference delegates, felt practically at home. We definitely owe Ms. Johanson a huge part of the conference success. It is employees like Ms. Johanson who make the stay at the hotel well remembered and any event well attended and filled with positive emotions. We would also like to heartily thank Ms. Marianne Salord, Director of Event Operations, and Jun Rosel, Lead Banquent Captain, and their staff, especially Mr. Abdul - all the meals were very tasty, inviting, and served with grace and very punctually. We received ravishing responses from many participants for their lunches and dinners. Our thanks to the kitchen staff as well. Separate thanks go to the IT team and its leader, Mr. Dylan Guenther. The technology worked well, and it is always a big plus for any event. Lastly, we would like to compliment the facility itself - the conference foyer on the 4th floor with its uplifting colors, all the rooms' settings, information boards, airwalls and the like, are of top quality and truly created a very positive and inviting atmosphere. Thank you to the hotel management who definitely succeeded in keeping and training such a great team that made our conference unforgettable and let our every guest leave Seattle full of desire to return.
