Palihotel Seattle

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

This new hotel on the block is steeped full of history, originally the Colonnade Hotel in 1895 and registered on the National Register of Historic Places, it reopened late '18 and reimagined in Palihotel's signature eclectic style. Outside it's in the perfect location, steps away from Pike Place Market, a haven for foodies and people watchers alike. Although you don't have to step out for food, The Hart and The Hunter have southern inspired food with local ingredients. On the inside it's brimming with personality, paying homage to the Pacific Northwest with a waterfront twist. The lobby is welcoming like a magazine worthy living room with a cosy fireplace and a lounge bar. Numerous room configurations allow for most combinations of travellers, there’s even a bunk bed option for kids or to release your inner child.

I chose this place for the location, walkability, and the vintage boutique feel it had online. For the time of my visit prices were low and very reasonable (prices vary greatly throughout the year at all hotels in this popular area) so I splurged and was able to reserve a king suite for a really great price and I enjoyed lounging on that massive couch each evening before/after going out. Check-in was super easy, place felt very secure especially after hours during the late night. Room was clean, well decorated and even though I had a view over the roof to other rooms, it was quiet and still felt private. The lobby lounge area was adorable, cozy and a nice spot to relax outside of the room. I did eat breakfast one morning at the attached restaraunt and the food, although fancy, was good. However I was a little disappointed that the bar wasn't open later on the nights I was there, leaving me to walk elsewhere for late night food/beverage options, however I never felt unsafe in doing so either. Location was very convenient for walking to Pikes, the waterfront, Benaroya Hall, Showbox, shopping, the light rail systems, anything downtown really and was an easy mile walk to the Space Needle area. I look forward to staying here again! Read less

Adorable room!! Had a wonderful Anniversary weekend. Perfect location. We could walk to so many things to do. As would be expected in such a large City we were concerned about safety if walking around especially after dark. There was a significant police presence that made us feel very safe. We will stay there again if in the area.
