The hotel

This new hotel on the block is steeped full of history, originally the Colonnade Hotel in 1895 and registered on the National Register of Historic Places, it reopened late '18 and reimagined in Palihotel's signature eclectic style. This hotel is quite a gem! I had not heard of the hotel before but we booked as a girls weekend thing, hitting Pikes Market and the shopping. We were greeted at the door by a friendly gal named Wendy who turned out to be the manager, she was so friendly and gave us a great overview of the hotel and the restaurant, she even took our pic in front of what we now know is the famous llama! Elly checked us in and she was so sweet and helpful. The room itself was gorgeous! It’s so vintage but with cool updates. I love the green. Pikes market is right across the street this location is amazing!! The hotel restaurant was great, it was really busy so service was maybe a tad slower than expected but those butter biscuits were sooooo good! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back and plan to stay longer next time! Read less

Perfect location. Cozy Rooms, excellent breakfast. Inspired design. Palihotels and Palihouse excel in providing modern yet warm and relaxing environment for long stay and short escapades. Also perfect for business travellers because it feels like home.

This hotel is definitely designed to appeal to millennial hipsters which I am not. There is no closet, just a pipe with hangers and room service is ordered via a tablet that only sometimes worked and in room food options are very limited. The location is convenient and the price was right though.

My company reserved 14 nights in this hotel for my 2 week business trip. Raves: 1. Location. Very near the office I need to go to. 2. Very pleasant staff Rants: 1. Nights 1 to 3 I was put in a room by 1st ave. A busy street but if the rooms were properly soundproofed, I wouldn't have been bothered by the noise. 2. On day 4, I asked for the room to be cleaned before I went to the office. The room door was not properly closed (unlocked) when I got back around 4:30PM. They transferred me to a room in the inner structure of the building and gave a free breakfast voucher because of #s 1 and 2. 3. Night 9. The climate control in my stopped working. Stuck at a certain temperature. Reported to frontdesk the next morning before going to work. When I got back from work, still not working. Reported to frontdesk before I went to a run. Their logs said that nothing was wrong. I said, I'm pretty sure there is. Lady had someone go up while I was out. After my run, frontdesk lady told me that there is something wrong and for them to fix it, I need to transfer rooms. again. It's not easy to pack and unpack. 4. Cleanliness. There were still bread crumbs and a lot of dirt after they clean my room. 5. Day 11, elevator, yes just one, went out of order. Read less

My stay at the Palihotel in Seattle was very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and helpful; my room was also quite pleasant to stay in. I would definitely recommend staying here for anyone going to see a show at the Showbox or touring Pikes Place.
