The hotel

This new hotel on the block is steeped full of history, originally the Colonnade Hotel in 1895 and registered on the National Register of Historic Places, it reopened late '18 and reimagined in Palihotel's signature eclectic style. The hotel was really nice. The color of the walls in the room was cool. The room was a bit small but it was very comfortable. Just in the middle of everything. We had a great time there! The staff in the reception are really friendly. If we have the chance we will repeat in a future.

In my opinion, this is probably the greatest location to stay in Seattle downtown. It’s right across the road from Pike Place market and the area was so clean. The hotel itself is very impressive (Instagramable). The room was a decent size and the beds were so comfy! Shower pressure wasn’t great, but it was hot and definitely not the worst I’ve… Read more

You will get stress noise if you are facing Pike Place, but earplugs were provided. It’s an older building so we could hear occasional muffled conversations from our neighbours and some footstep noise from above, but it wasn’t too bad. What let this otherwise awesome hotel down, for us, was the customer service. It almost felt like an inside joke between the reception staff at how disinterested they could be in our check-in process. It’s a very cool hotel, but should not be too cool for friendly service. Other than that, it would have been 5 stars from me. Read less

My husband and I stayed at Palihotel Seattle for our anniversary. It was a fun experience, the building feels like an old converted apartment building directly across the street from Pikes Place Market. I could almost see the sign from our room. We chose a room right on the main road....1st I think? It was noisy but coming from quiet Idaho, both my husband and I commented how we loved the city sounds. We left the windows open and listened to the sounds at night. It was perfect walking distance to anywhere. We didn't rent a car and ended up taking the train from the airport to university station and walking and it worked out fine. Staff was nice and helpful. I loved the music they played. Food and drink was expensive for what we were used to but it was worth it and that is to be expected most places in Seattle. We would stay again! Read less

Had been hunting around for an Air BNB or other hotel near Pikes Place, came upon this hotel and the price and location was right. Perfect location for downtown tourist stuff and unique and fun interior decoration. We had an inside "courtyard" room but could still hear some traffic noise late at night but only from very loud cars radios, etc. … Read more

Located on the bustling corner of 1st and Pine, just across the street from Pike Place Market, Palihotel Seattle is a convenient place to stay when enjoying the downtown area. Valet parking, the only parking option, is steep at over $50/night -- but for convenience's sake, you'll likely use it if you choose to drive in to town. Standard rooms with queen size bed are adequately furnished, and NYC-small. Bathroom and shower stall were the *coziest*, to put it nicely, that I've ever experienced. Room was clean, mattress was a bit subpar, comfort-wise (a bit on the hard side for my taste). No real closet space, so pack light! We stayed a block down the street on our last visit, at the Kimpton Monaco, and it was superior in pretty much every aspect, including the restaurant (we had breakfast on our first morning, and it was terrible -- their "famous" biscuits were completely raw, as the new kitchen staff forgot to turn the oven all the way, instead just setting it to "keep warm," which would've been okay if the server had assured us multiple times that the biscuits were cooked, and fine). Would steer clear of dining at the hotel, and skip the in-room mini fridge and snack options, too, as there are plenty of places to grab and go around the hotel. Cute lobby/common space downstairs.
