I have been lucky to travel the world on business for over 20 years. But my experience with this hotel is beyond shocking. I arrived at 0030 in the morning to check in. Firstly don’t expect luggage help - there will not be any. The lady behind the desk was beyond rude, shoved papers at me to sign then practically threw the key at me. Maybe she was trying too hard to be hip, but that check in experience was terrible. As I walked away to the lift, a couple approached the desk asking for recommendations for a restaurant explaining that had not had dinner. The dismissive tone returned, the clerk shut down each request for help quoting the law, or other excuses to say no. I was really appalled by the complete lack of feeling towards the couple’s situation and there was not just a refusal to help, there were extra barriers erected. The attitude of why are you asking me, I’m not here to help isn’t ideal for any hotel in my view. I then headed to my room. A few observations - not enough light to shave by, the room wasn’t sound proof so you heard the rain outside, mugs were not cleaned and despite the “save the planet” please place your towels on racks and we won’t give you new ones was just not observed. It’s now approaching 1 am when the phone rings. I’m accused like a school child of being loud and disturbing another room. When I ask what the noise was I was told to be quiet or else. Well this is going well. The bed was comfortable and the kettle worked well. There was no safe in the room. So I guess if you want the experience of the market, stay somewhere else. There are plenty of other ones nearby where the service is far superior. Frankly if it had not been so late, I would have considered leaving the hotel that very same first night. I did formally complain to the GM on departure. I love a good boutique hotel, but won’t be in a hurry to return here in the near future. Read less

Best location for the price if you want to be close to Pike Place Market. Only 1 block away. Also very close to the original Starbucks. Rooms are a little small but functional. Only 2 blocks from the nearest train stop. This is the second time we've stayed here and will do again next time I'm in Seattle.

The hotel itself is cute and the bartender makes a good drink but that's about it. The rooms were so hot we couldn't sleep. The room peaked at 77 degrees which was unbearable. There was no way to change them temperature as the temp was locked. The water pressure in the shower was weird too, it kept nearly shutting off. For a very expensive hotel… Read more

This hotel is adorable! Beautifully decorated, clean, pet friendly, on-site dining and so conveniently located. Loved it! Only things I didnt love were the noise from the street, the $40 charge for a single fold out bed and $55 to park overnight. Those charges nearly doubled the cost of my stay. Retro looks for the traveler. Multiple restaurants to choose from that are within walking distance. I travel alone and it felt very safe. Negative- front desk customer service. There was at least 4 people in line and the only person who could do check ins was on a very lengthy phone call. There was a guy who came out and apologized and said he could not operate the 2nd computer. The bed has dips in the mattress. Then I hear EVERYTHING in this building. So housekeeping started vacuuming upstairs and woke me up prior to my alarm clock. They also charge for some of the things that would be free at other hotels. There needs to be more lighting. Summary, $130 is a fair price. I wouldn't go much higher unless they fix a few things. Read less
