We stayed here for New Year's. The location was good and allowed us to walk to shops and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant was very unorganized. They didn't have multiple items on the menu and the bartender had to go help in the kitchen. That left no one at the bar to serve us. The staff… Read more

The bar/restaurant was very unorganized. They didn't have multiple items on the menu and the bartender had to go help in the kitchen. That left no one at the bar to serve us. The staff seemed annoyed to be there. They were also short staffed the next morning for the valet. They had one person to do it all. We waited for quite some time to get our vehicle. The place was under construction so maybe the changes will be good. Room was fine, nothing special. I did enjoy the large walk-in shower. Read less

Friendly staff. Hotel was very clean. I had a room with a huge balcony that had a table and chairs. The weather this weekend was beautiful, so we were able to sit outside and enjoy Charleston. The parking situation is valet only and that is the only complaint I would have about this hotel. But it is located downtown and space is limited, so it's understandable. The valets were very nice as well as efficient. They always asked if we needed any recommendations for places to see or eat. We were only able to stay one night, but it was a perfect stay and I will definitely be back. Read less

It was easy enough to regulate the temperature, and there was a nice frig and coffee station available. Wifi worked well and was free, and the housekeeping staff adjusted well to our preferred timing to be out of our room. The not-so-good: Valet parking was the only option but there was no covered space to unload (which was a big problem for us since it was POURING rain on our arrival). The bad: We were there for 3 nights and paid different rates for each night. Our only parking option was fee-based valet parking too. So our total ended up being over $800 which just seemed unreasonable. Read less

The location of this hotel is not exactly in the middle of downtown but easily close enough to walk. Of course, Uber is always available! Plenty of bars and restaurants have good quality right around the corner. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. It was nicely equipped with a small refrigerator a Keurig coffee machine and a safe. The staff was very helpful. They went out of their way. We had a little trouble trying to connect to Netflix and the staff kept at it until they were successful. That was appreciated. My only negatives would be the cost of the valet parking and the fact that the gas station across the street attracts a less than savory clientele making the area seem a little dodgy at night. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Location disappointed me. Parking $30!

I thought I would be very close to where things happen on the historic district, but I had to walk 20 minutes or so. Apart from that I didn't feel very safe walking around the hotel at night. Location was a huge disappointment. $30 for the parking was another let down. All the rest (staff, cleanliness, room) was good.
