We stayed here two nights and it was very pleasant; clean, quiet and an accommodating staff. It's about mile from the center of the old part of town so it can be a long walk on a hot day. Head down King instead of Meeting and you'll find more to see and do along the way. The bartender on duty Saturday was not very engaging; maybe she was having… Read more

Other than that, the staff was friendly and the valet parking was painless. Read less

Based on a great previous stay, we chose Holiday Inn for a week stay. The reservation staff, desk staff, maids & waiters all aimed to please and were pleasant in doing so. Based on a great previous stay, we chose Holiday Inn for a week stay. The reservation staff, desk staff, maids & waiters all aimed to please and were pleasant in doing so. Tylee, in particular, was a gem at check-in and gave us breakfast and drink vouchers when I mentioned we were return guests. The valet gave us a great pizza recommendation at Benny Ravello’s around the corner on King St. We chose a 2nd floor two queen bed room because that’s the floor where the outside pool is. Also convenient was the mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker in the room and ice machine down the hall. The breakfasts were fabulous at the hotel whether you chose eggs benedict, an omelette or standard eggs, breakfast meat and home fries. Of great convenience was the pc near the reservation desk where SOUTHWEST boarding passes could be printed. Still conveniently across the street is the BURRIS LIQUORS, but sadly the grocery store a block away has been shuttered, resulting in an UBER ride to/from a FOOD LION a mile away. My only negative about this Holiday Inn is that the guest, non-suite rooms do not have a microwave. Finally, at almost $300 per night, HOLIDAY INN is pricey but welcome to Charleston, an expensive tourist destination for most middle class income folks. Read less

Stayed here two nights. Excellent location. One block from King Street (where all the restaurants are). Close to free buses. We walked to the carriage tours. Room was clean. Loved the large walk-in shower. Staff very helpful. Would stay again.

Nice Holiday Inn within walking distance of many of the sites - 5 min walk to the Vistitor Center and Charleston Museum. 30+ minutes to the historic district but there are free HOP Buses that run right near the hotel and Visitor Center. Hotel was probably recently redone - look very good in all areas. One block from King Street to many restaurants. Good fitness center. Very firendly accomodating staff. Think twice about using the Valet Parking as it's a bit expensive and there is a large public structure right next to the Visitor Center at about half the price. If you're leaving your car in the lot (everything is convenient with the HOP bus and walking) it's a big savings to use the public lot. Read less
