Stayed here for my 40th birthday weekend. Requested a Skyline View room and it was wonderful. The windows on the balcony doors REALLY NEED TO BE CLEANED but it was still an amazing view. sounds of the traffic were not nearly as bad as I anticipated. Was a great place to stay for our weekend trip and would stay here again.

I thought this hotel was close to Charleston, but that was my fault for not checking properly. About a 10 minute drive but the hotel does offer a shuttle service which is very handy. The hotel is modern and very clean. Customer service was okay..bit frosty on check in. Big rooms and very comfortable. Good for a base to stay to explore the city… Read more

The hotel is modern and very clean. Customer service was okay..bit frosty on check in. Big rooms and very comfortable. Good for a base to stay to explore the city and around other areas. Easy parking in front of the hotel. I would stay here again if it is cheaper than staying in the city - many hotels in the city don't have parking or you have to pay extra ("amenity fee"!). Read less

All of the times I have visited Charleston, I always wanted to know how this place looked on the inside. Knowing that it was a long standing hotel, I took a few things into consideration when writing my review. (1) The staff was amazing. The check-in was easy and each time we walked into or left the hotel, we were greeted by the staff. (2) The elevators and hallway to our room was clean and the decor was nice. (3) Our room was large and clean. There were some areas of the room that showed signs of age, which is why I can't give it 5-stars (4). The bedding was firm and the pillows were soft, which made for a good nights sleep. (5) A closet held our clothes. (6) There was a work desk that was large enough to hold the TV and a pull out table for a computer or keyboard. (7) Nice office chair. (8). Our view overlooked the highway and a river. I don't think there could be a perfect view because the hotel sits in the middle of a highway. I also don't think road noise can be helped, because we were on the 10th floor and could hear it, but again, the hotel sits in the middle of a highway. (9) The hotel was a distance from shopping, however, everything we went to was within a 10 - 15 minute drive. (10) There was also a mini-fridge and a Keurig. (11) We received 2 - $3 off coupons that we used for breakfast. They offered a buffet but due to the recent virus, we decided to go with a cooked to order breakfast. We shared a plate of sausage, bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelet and breakfast potatoes. Everything was delicious. I would visit again. Read less

Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview. Came in town Friday for a cruise leaving from the port. Very nice accommodations @ this locations. Staff was very friendly. Upon arrival there was a partial power outage at hotel due to issues in town. The staff handled this matter in an efficient manner.

With my parents on James Island and my daughter at the College of Charleston this hotel was at the perfect location. Besides, the view is great! I had a small problem on my second stay and they immediately changed my room and were very nice. I also liked the breakfast buffet.
