Where to start? Of course, with Kristi, who checked us in! She is one of the finest hotel employees I've ever dealt with in many years of staying in hotels. She is great because she cares. It is not an inconvenience for her to help you, as is the case with so many in the service industry these days. She is happy to help and wants to help. She called me by name throughout our stay and remembered our room number. Surveys always ask if you felt valued by the staff. We sure did! We loved the property. They don't make them like this anymore. Sprawling hotel with an impressive assortment of restaurants, bars, gift shop, coffee shop, spa, concierge (she was excellent, too). The pool alone has two bars, one of them brand new. Service at all of them was excellent. We noticed the Bouy Bar has its own kitchen! And they put out some great fare. There are several pools, beautifully designed. Landscaping is beautiful. Two firepits with rockers that are popular at night. I think the pool area is as nice as any hotel or resort I've stayed at. It is just beautiful. Like a picture. Out by the pool is the recreation person, who handles bike rental and is there to answer any questions. Through them, we reserved the Turtle Trackers event on the beach, which was fantastic. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. We slept great in the beds. The pillows were perfect. We are going to call to get details on how to order some for our home. The hallways are open air, which adds a great resort feel to the hotel. The openings can be closed, guessing for bad weather. The housekeeping staff was excellent and dedicated. We particularly enjoyed talking SEC football with one of the guys who was a Georgia fan, which we, as Tennessee fans, did not hold against him! I wish I'd gotten his name. The bell staff was also fantastic. I missed the hotel directory, which was taken up due to the virus. But I think that was the only thing missing. There was no room service, either, for the same reason. My only teeny tiny complaint is that no one I asked knew when the hotel was built. I didn't ask Kristi. She probably knew. I would love to know the history of the hotel. I don't care that it is older. The Waldorf-Astoria is old, too. But both are great hotels. I was just curious when it opened and what the brands were that the hotel formerly carried. We are already looking forward to coming back. Thank you! Read less

Such a terrible hotel and customer service. Spoke with kristi on the phone, The front desk just lies left and right about what’s included and not included in the resort fee. One night the pool is included in the resort fee, the next day it’s not ..! I’m not joking. Their free WiFi doesn’t even work, yet that’s part of their resort fee. Same with… Read more

They advertise “free parking” but essentially you are paying for it as part of the resort fee. $25 a night for internet folks. We ALL use our OWN phone INTERNET service. We don’t need your crappy WiFi service. Rooms are outdated as heck. Stay elsewhere Read less

We were able to get down and enjoy the pool for an extra half a day. We stayed in the adult pool which was amazing as the family pools were a little more noisy. The poolside service was really nice. Rosa and Katt were both very attentive to all of the guests and were prompt with drink orders. We walked down to the beach which was beautiful. You can rent chairs from a stand but we just brought a blanket. The water was so warm and the beach was pristinely clean. The room was a little disappointing, I paid extra to get a king suite hoping for a nice view but it overlooked the parking lot. The room also smelled musty and there were spots on the carpet and couch. Parking was convenient as it is come and go self parking at no extra charge which was surprising. Overall, price seemed a little expensive for the room but the pool and beach made it worth it. Read less

The Omni Oceanfront Resort is my favorite resort to date on Hilton Head. The resort is well planned and the upkeep is top notch. The rooms have mini kitchens with microwaves, super comfy beds and spacious clean bathrooms. Cutlery, dishes, and cups have been removed during Covid, you can stock up on plastic cutlery and paper plates for free at the Palmetto Market in the Activity Center of the resort. Cleanliness is a priority at the Omni! The amenities are well designed. There is a zero entry pool with two large umbrellas making pool time fun for young children. A small splash pad could use some updating but is also fun for little ones. The adult pools have restaurants/ bars footsteps away with specialty drinks. The pools sit ocean side, offering gorgeous views of the beach from the comfort of your pool lounger. The beach has soft-sugary sand and gentle waves. Great outdoor showers to wash off when returning back to your room. The Omni courtyard is lovely and has two fire pits to roast marshmallows or sit and star gaze. HH Prime and the Palmetto Market Place offer exceptional food for breakfast and lunch and dinner. Try the avocado toast at breakfast. They offer gluten free bread options in HH Prime and the Palmetto Market Place. The Omni is a great choice! Read less

My wife and I really enjoyed our recent visit to the Omni. We’ve stayed at two other properties in Hilton Head over the last 25 years, but this may be our new favorite. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of two of the pools and the ocean. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. It seemed obvious to us they were taking all the proper COVID-19 precautions. The parking was more than adequate for guests while we were there, and it was easy to find a space close to the room. The resort is in the large Palmetto Dunes property, so there are lots of trails and paths for running and walking, and everything looks great. All in all, a very positive experience. Read less
