My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. We love taking walks around the resort and especially enjoyed the ponds that had fish & so many turtles! They loved being fed! Enjoyed playing tennis & the pool. We also enjoy going to the gym. They took great precaution regarding Covid but it did not take away from enjoying everything they had to… Read more

This was our first time back to Sheraton Broadway Plantation since 2018, and as usual we were pleased with our stay. We went over Labor Day weekend, and even though I was disappointed I had a room on the first floor (was told they were at 97% capacity at check-in), our two-bedroom was nicely renovated and clean, the pools were nice and we were able to social distance by going early or after 5pm, and the activities were pre-packaged so that we could bring them to our room for the kids to enjoy. The main reason I am giving our stay 4 vs 5 stars is because we did have to kill a number of crawling bugs during our stay, which is I think is a function of being on the first floor - we had never seen bugs when staying previously. We traded our 2 bedroom Marriott Aruba Ocean Club unit to stay here. WHAT A MISTAKE. The place is disgusting. We had a reservation for a 1bdrm and when we checked in, I upgraded (and paid) for a 2 bedroom. It was pretty late and we were exhausted. My 6 year old daughter was exhausted after the very long drive from NY and wanted to go to bed. I went to put her in bed and was horrified to find that the bedding was stained and crusted with food. It clearly was not washed or changed from the last occupants. She was crashing so i got the spare bedding in the closet and remade the bed. I decided I would deal with it with management the next day. She did not want to sleep in the room alone so I got into the 2nd bed. I felt something lumpy by my feet so I pulled the sheet off the bed and there was CEREAL under the sheets and on the mattress. I also noticed a big grease stain on the sheet. DISGUSTING!!!!! The next day I called and left a message for management. I got no response so I took to Twitter and sent a tweet @Marriott Vacation Club, @Sheraton and the @Resort. I got a response in Twitter that management would call. NO CALL. I called again on insisted on new bedding. Some time later someone came by and dropped off a HUGE hefty bag full of random bedding. Guess what - some of those were dirty too. Guess what else - a huge spider was in the bag with the sheets. I almost died. Guess what else - the Master Bedroom bedding was dirty too and in both bathrooms, the complementary shampoos etc were used. As if that is not bad enough, my husband (who not long ago had spine surgery) decided to sit in the lounge chair in the Master. As soon as he sat, the chair collapsed. The rear leg was broken and the chair had been propped up against the wall. I took to Twitter again - again was told management would call. 2 days later I get the call and all management did was ask if we got new sheets and took $100 off our bill. No on to the resort itself - the grills are filthy and don't work. The playground is not cleaned, there is litter all around and at the pool, there was a guy with a rag randomly BARELY wiping the top part of the handrails for the pool. There was no social distancing and just blatant disregard for the health and safety of the guests. I am SO disappointed in this place and feel like we got totally ripped off with our trade. This is NOT what I expect of The Marriott (who owns Sheraton). I called owner services and Interval and they basically told me "oh well". I paid tens of thousands for my Marriott Vacation Club unit and over $2000 a year in maintenance to stay in a hell hole where no doubt Covid is spreading like wildfire given how dirty and disgusting the place is. I am considering calling the board of health on them. I want my 3000 destination points back! Read less
