We hadn't seen big, cushy lounge seating before and we loved it! We had a great view and great service. Prices were high, not too surprised. Very cute decor. The lobby was very cool. A mix of palm springs/70's lounge/modern. Great views of Austin.

I had a great stay at the Line. I stayed there a year ago as things were still getting set up, like all the amenities and restaurants. Overall, everything looked the same (like the theme) but for sure it was a much more awesome experience for me. The additions of the restaurants and probably some décor really made a difference. I ate at the cool international bar food place and was super impressed. Checked out the pool deck and thought that was beautiful. Of course, my room experience was great. I didn’t have any trouble with the room but definitely, some “awe” moments just noticing the décor and style. Read less

The hotel is extremely dark. The halls are painted black. The lighting in the bathrooms are horrible. Bring a flashlight to put on your makeup. The King bed was comfortable but it is on a platform that is super low to the ground. I did not have a problem with it but many people would. The room came with one hard wooden chair. We asked for a second one and it took over 24 hour for them to deliver. No iron, ironing board, or coffee makers This needed to be requested. There was no where to put your clothes. No drawers only a small closet to hang them in. In the restaurant we had reservations at 8:30 on a Thursday for 10 people. We told them we needed it for 12 and this completely through off the hostess and the manager. It took them 15 more minutes to figure out how to accommodate 2 more guests when the restaurant was half full. The hotel is great for crowds 18-30. we should have stayed at the four seasons..... The fluorescent light inside the shower fell off twice. They fixed it once and it fell off again after a couple of days, exposing the fixture wires (see attached pictures). Let me repeat that: the fluorescent light fell off INSIDE the shower, exposing wires. Luckily, I was not inside the shower both times when it fell off. When it fell off the second time I asked them to remove the fluorescent lights from the shower and they did. First of all: it is not safe to have electricity in the first place where you are taking a shower, for obvious reasons. Second, to have it fall off - twice???? Inside your shower???? It is clear that this hotel hires bad professionals who have no idea what they are doing. And by the way, no apologies, no offer free stay, not even a free breakfast was offered by this hotel who put my life at risk twice. Less serious examples of their lack of experience in the business. My room did not have drawers. When they brought the piece of furniture, they placed it in the closet in such a way that you could not close the closet door, and you need to close it in order to open the adjacent refrigerator. The furniture is lightweight and I was able to move it to the side inside the closet, but and then you lose space for shoes. The lamp near your bed has no dimmer and it is super bright, so if you turn it on to read in bed or in the middle of the night it almost “blinds” you so to speak. These of course are not serious but these issues reinforce the bad design and engineering work hired by this hotel that almost led to my demise. This hotel has no business center. I travel on business and such a large hotel without a business center makes no sense. The front desk staff, however, was very polite and printed nearly 90 pages at my request without any charges. To sum it up: this hotel invests too much on looking trendy but you cannot trust it when it comes to your basic needs, such as the need to stay alive. Read less

I had a room on the 12th floor with a view of the river and bridge. Perfect for seeing the bats. It wasn't noisy and the room had a nice layout for seeing the joggers, traffic, and scooter riders. I checked in and was given a run-down of the restaurants and decided on Arlo Grey. It should not be missed! The fried buns, rabbit, and lemon custard… Read more

I checked in and was given a run-down of the restaurants and decided on Arlo Grey. It should not be missed! The fried buns, rabbit, and lemon custard were out of this world! After dinner I returned to my room to my bed. Despite being soft, which I normally don't like, it was smooth and you didn't sink into it. I slept soundly and woke up refreshed and looking forward to their coffee bar. Alfred is located downstairs near the check-in area. I am a drip coffee person and what they had was excellent. Not too bitter and paired perfectly with the matcha concha. Read less
