My friend and I love learning Dallas history, and one favorite from history is The Adolphus. We treated ourselves to one night. An exchange of e-mail with the fantastic concierge, Mr. Milke, led to royal treatment, including a wonderful tour. Our high expectations were wildly exceeded. I struggle with words to really describe the experience. The Adolphus is a different universe, much like our own, but where people actively focus and engage with you. Where every staff member wants you to feel like their personal guest. Where each one knows hotel history and is excited to share their knowledge and, even better, hear what you want to share. You can get nice rooms at many properties, but The Adolphus experience is rare and precious. Dinner at the French Room is not unlike the symphony or opera. The choreography of the staff, the precision of movement, the sheer delight they radiate as they provide their dining experience. I could say they are like museum docents or history re-enactors, but that doesn't convey the sense of how they share this with you-- perform it for you. But do not think it is stuffy or impersonally formal.. they make you feel like you belong. They make you feel you are participating in something fun but significant. As if they are deeply grateful you are there helping to carry forward a history of excellence. Staying there was a wonderful dream. Read less

We enjoyed our time at the main bar with Emily and Gracie. They were personable, skilled, and made us feel at home. Emily, thank you for the local recommendations! A special thank you to evening front desk staff as well. Dani and Wynter helped me create a memory that will last forever! Lastly, the spa experience was one of the best we’ve ever had. Anyone visiting Dallas should make it a priority to visit this establishment. Read less

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing Adolphus staff, who once again made our son’s birthday the BEST! A huge THANK YOU to the amazing Adolphus staff, who once again made our son’s birthday the BEST! We celebrated his 7th birthday here and back again for his 8th, at his request largely due to the incredible attention given to him by these amazing employees! He was treated like a VIP, even though only a child. The impression the Adolphus has left on him (and us as parents) will keep us coming back. As my husband said, why would we stay anywhere else where we’re “just another guest”, while this place excels at personal attention? Shout out especially to pastry chef Eric Burrell, shoe shine legend Dr. J, and concierge extraordinaire Whitney Gochinas who once again made it all happen. Thank you, thank you. Read less

If I could help it, I would not stay anywhere else in Dallas. There is nothing to dislike about The Adolphus. This hotel and it's staff are superb. From those in the back office, Cathy, Aaron, and Emily, to those at the front desk, Mickaela and Emily. The hotel itself is fantastic, but the people are the ones that take it to another level.

From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a treat, the property itself is extremely luxurious and beautifully decorated; however it pales in comparison to the exceptional service we received by the wonderful men and women who make it their life's mission to ensure you want for nothing during your stay. Highly recommend you speak to concierge for any of your questions or needs as they are a wealth of knowledge: Whitney and Andrew went above and beyond in orchestrating the most memorable stay we've ever had in any hotel. We felt like they were family by the time we left. Raul the head valet truly made us feel at home from the moment we stepped off our vehicle. Tim at City Hall Bistro indulged is in both the history and tour of this beautiful property (really great guy to chat up if you run into him!). Victor Rojas, the GM of the French Room was an absolute delight to speak to in learning of the French Room's history. Tamara at the Adolphus spa will give you the most spectacular massage. I've been to many spas and she has set a new standard for me. And Dr. J will definitely take care of your shoe shine needs and provide a few laughs while he's at it. Normally we are terrible with remembering names but its hard to forget the people who make themselves memorable. We were so well taken care of it was really hard to leave! Please do yourself a favor and book a stay here! You will NOT regret it! Read less
