Omni Dallas Hotel

Dallas, Texas

The hotel

A boomerang-shaped hotel with an ever-changing LED light show, the newly opened Omni Dallas Hotel is 23 stories of glass, steel and stylish razzle-dazzle. It even glamorously had Larry Hagman and Linda Grey at the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony! Sleek and modern on the outside and lit by neon-type horizontal lighting on each floor that is very cool. The public areas of the hotel are equally well done including numerous indoor and outdoor fireplaces and fire pits and some great added touches including unique art in the rooms that are all for sale. The best part about the Omni is its terrific rooftop infinity pool and bar. With soaring Dallas summer temperatures it is definitely the place to relax and take in spectacular city views. Sweeping views can also be enjoyed from the Mokara Spa which offers a full range of spa treatments including a special treatments where couples can unwind together in one of the deluxe couple’s treatment rooms. Morsels the coffee bar which includes Collections Gift Shop, is a fantastic showcase of art with an assortment of books and unique gifts to purchase. See if you can find the great colouring book for children and adults of the Nasher Sculpture collection!

Nice rooms and hotel. I was very surprised of the lack of attention after I fell on their wet floor with no markings. I tried to be very easy going and just manage on my own but did want an Advil. I was charged for the Advil and was also informed that I would pay for any medical attention. A week later and I am still feeling the pain of the fall.… Read more

Cleaning lady watched me fall and management all knows about it as well. Read less

We stayed there for a week in early July for the boys junior national volleyball tournament and we will not stay anywhere else after talking with the rest of the group. Omni's rooms were spacious, great views of the city of Dallas and the housekeeping staff was good. The pool is a little small and crowded on weekends, but the staff and bartenders make up for that with great customer service and a smile. Make sure you say hello to Kathy and David up there. They will take great care of you. We had a couple of issues with our self parking pass, but they were dealt with swiftly. Only ate at the mexican restaurant on site and it was a longer than usual weight and the food was good, not great. As far as the Omni, trust me when I say you don't want to stay anywhere else in Dallas. Read less

The hotel is beautiful, modern, and everything you'd expect from an Omni. The pool itself is a good size. While the pool deck is probably a bit too small for this big hotel. Nonetheless, the pool was wonderful hangout for kids and/or singles to eat/drink/swim on a recent packed Saturday - a good balance of everything during the day and late into the afternoon. A few problems with key cards and parking passes arouse but they were dealt with swiftly and appropriately by staff. First time in Dallas one notices that everything seems rather close but the neighborhoods change quickly block to block. The Omni was "close" to something and a tad further from others, but nothing was too far. But the hotel overall has a special feel to it and likely some really great views from your room and definitely from the pool deck. Read less

Average hotel. Not very attentive to details. Remote for the TV in the bathroom was missing. No one came to fix the bulb beside the bed despite letting them know on the first night itself. The pool is decent, but on the smaller side. One of the restaurants closed by 10 pm on a Saturday night, which I thought was odd.

Omni was great.. Liked that we could walk to convention center without walking outside. Really liked the Owner's Box. Good food. Staff was very nice. Comfortable and free billiards. Cafe Herrera fajita steak with salad was amazing. Not thrilled with Texas Spice. Service a bit slow.
