Omni Dallas Hotel

Dallas, Texas

The hotel

A boomerang-shaped hotel with an ever-changing LED light show, the newly opened Omni Dallas Hotel is 23 stories of glass, steel and stylish razzle-dazzle. It even glamorously had Larry Hagman and Linda Grey at the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony! Sleek and modern on the outside and lit by neon-type horizontal lighting on each floor that is very cool. The public areas of the hotel are equally well done including numerous indoor and outdoor fireplaces and fire pits and some great added touches including unique art in the rooms that are all for sale. The best part about the Omni is its terrific rooftop infinity pool and bar. With soaring Dallas summer temperatures it is definitely the place to relax and take in spectacular city views. Sweeping views can also be enjoyed from the Mokara Spa which offers a full range of spa treatments including a special treatments where couples can unwind together in one of the deluxe couple’s treatment rooms. Morsels the coffee bar which includes Collections Gift Shop, is a fantastic showcase of art with an assortment of books and unique gifts to purchase. See if you can find the great colouring book for children and adults of the Nasher Sculpture collection!

Staying at Omni hotel this week whilst attending American Thoracic Society Congress. The Omni is there to serve the Congress and is not in a prime location otherwise. However, it is a modern and comfortable hotel with really nice rooms. Can get busy given it congress location.

Went to the ZZ Top 50th Anniversary concert and stayed at the Omni for the night. It was a perfect way to close a concert night. Excellent rooms, fine dining and 5 star service. Highly recommend! The sports bar and Texas Spice are great places to open and close the day. Also, Bob’s Steakhouse is a great dinner spot.

Had drinks here last evening-their front terrace.Nice & quiet place to have a drink outdoors & quiet conversation. The selection of drinks is excellent however the servers are useless. Totally know nothing about what is available at the bar. We had to go inside & ask the bartender & then could offer. They need to get servers that do more than… Read more

The rooms were great but I didn’t like the fact that I was greatly inconvenienced when 2 elevators were taken out for VIP guests and I had to wait 20 minutes to get down from 18th floor. The only way I got down was because the VIP guests were kind enough to allow me to ride down with them. Otherwise my wait time would’ve been longer than 20… Read more
