Omni Dallas Hotel

Dallas, Texas

The hotel

A boomerang-shaped hotel with an ever-changing LED light show, the newly opened Omni Dallas Hotel is 23 stories of glass, steel and stylish razzle-dazzle. It even glamorously had Larry Hagman and Linda Grey at the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony! Sleek and modern on the outside and lit by neon-type horizontal lighting on each floor that is very cool. The public areas of the hotel are equally well done including numerous indoor and outdoor fireplaces and fire pits and some great added touches including unique art in the rooms that are all for sale. The best part about the Omni is its terrific rooftop infinity pool and bar. With soaring Dallas summer temperatures it is definitely the place to relax and take in spectacular city views. Sweeping views can also be enjoyed from the Mokara Spa which offers a full range of spa treatments including a special treatments where couples can unwind together in one of the deluxe couple’s treatment rooms. Morsels the coffee bar which includes Collections Gift Shop, is a fantastic showcase of art with an assortment of books and unique gifts to purchase. See if you can find the great colouring book for children and adults of the Nasher Sculpture collection!

I have visited Dallas Tx 5 times since July 2019! My 1st stay was at the Omni. It was pricey but the stay was incredibly fun! So on my next 3 visits I tried other hotels that did not cost as much as the Omni. I was disappointed each time. They say in life that you get what you pay for! The hotel is ordinarily an exceptional property, however my last stay was "ok". The arrival and check-in process for a conference was horrible, as they were ill-prepared; however, once checked-in, the room, staff and service were great, like I know they can be. I'm hopeful that the next stay (maybe) will be awesome as previous stays were.

Stayed here several times before, as it's so convenient when attending anything at the convention center. Very comfortable rooms, lots of restaurant options. Had a mix up with my laundry, due to misinformation from reception, and they very kindly gave me a meal voucher, which I thought was a good gesture. I also like the idea that you can get a… Read more

I also like the idea that you can get a daily credit if you opt out of daily housekeeping, which is a clever idea, and also kind to the environment. Read less

Despite throngs of people for a convention center event, every aspect of the hotel was attended with courtesy and efficiency. The numerous dining and socializing venues on the property made the stay a worry free self contained oasis. If you wished for a cab or shuttle it seemed to materialize immediately. Overall a great experience.

We stayed for a few days around New Year's Eve and Winter Classic hockey game. The hotel is very clean and impressive. The rooms were a good size and it was a nice surprise to have pool and hot tubs running in winter. My sons were pretty impressed by pool and bathroom tv. Some of the staff seemed a bit disinterested but with a hotel that huge I don't expect same level of hospitality as smaller hotel. Was impressed that they had security guard by elevators that were checking for room keys. Only thing that was weird was I couldn't find change rooms near the pool. I asked a staff member and they directed me to a washroom but it was awkward for changing. I saw a few people going in elevator in bathing suits because they couldn't find changeroom. Read less
