The hotel

Located right in the heart of Fort Worth’s historical Stockyards district, the Hyatt makes for an essential base if you’re hoping to lasso yourself some authentic Texan hospitality. The district covers 125 acres and contains legendary landmarks such as as the Cowtown Coliseum, host of the world’s first indoor rodeo. With WiFi access available throughout you maybe tempted to work whilst you're away from home however, with the theme and water parks of Six Flags under half an hour's drive away you're bound to stow the laptop without too much arm-twisting. From a hot buffet breakfast at the Bakery Café to checking out the authentic local saloon bars as the Texan sun begins to set, the Hyatt is exactly what you'd hope for with plenty of Cowtown charm thrown in for good measure.

We were very close to area that had restaurants, so we walked to a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was limited due to COVID. There was a small selectin of food & the person tending the breakfast area was also doing the front desk. Short staffed. She did a great job juggling it all. Room was nice. Ample room for me to get some work done. Comfy bed. Price was a little high compared to other similar hotels. Read less

We spent 2 nights here and location was great. Caitlin did a great job in greeting us and making us feel welcome to the property. The 1st night we were able to walk to multiple restaurants and enjoyed the area tremendously. There were a few problems that caused me to rate the hotel as a 4. 1. The room was nice but the TV and phone didn’t work although they were fixed promptly once notified. 2. The room key didn’t work in the designated parking area, which caused us to return to front desk. 3. The 2nd night at 2am we were disturbed by noises behind the hotel on the patio. Again at 4am we were awakened by more noise and I took a photo of them from our 4th floor window. I assumed they were staying at the hotel. We suggest a reasonable curfew on the patio. But we’ll probably stay here again due to the cleanliness of hotel and location. Read less

This hotel has nice large rooms. The check in and out was very professional. Awesome employees! Now for the negatives....there is a train that runs during the night behind the hotel. I heard the whistle each time! There is no microwave in the rooms. The beds were just ok, not great. Mattresses probably need to be replaced. The breakfast was not… Read more

We picked this hotel for the location. Many shops and restaurant within walking distance. Probably will not stay here again. Read less

This hotel has the absolute worst customer service as does the Hyatt company. I spent two days on hold with the Hyatt reservation desk. Intermittently I gave up and called the front desk receptionists who varies from unhelpful to completely rude. I attempted to add rooms giving them more business and on the first day was told to call back the second day and was guaranteed that the rooms, price, and government discount would be done. When I called back they did not have the correct rooms available, did not know how to add in the discount and ultimately charged me more for rooms that were not going to work. I called back to ask about cancelling since they didn’t have the right rooms and they said since I had made them that day that it was too bad and their policy for no refunds on the first night would apply. This was not something they stated to me but said “oh it was online” which makes no sense because I made reservations online. Hyatt has been unwilling to help in any way and the trip hasn’t even started. It’s unreal how poorly they have treated us. Read less
