The hotel

Located right in the heart of Fort Worth’s historical Stockyards district, the Hyatt makes for an essential base if you’re hoping to lasso yourself some authentic Texan hospitality. The district covers 125 acres and contains legendary landmarks such as as the Cowtown Coliseum, host of the world’s first indoor rodeo. The Hyatt's 24-hour fitness centre and swimming pool are ideal for working up an appetite and once you've sampled the dining delights of both the Gallery Restaurant and the Bakery Café you'll be ready to kick back and relax in your spacious and sophisticated guest room. With WiFi access available throughout you maybe tempted to work whilst you're away from home however, with the theme and water parks of Six Flags under half an hour's drive away you're bound to stow the laptop without too much arm-twisting. From a hot buffet breakfast at the Bakery Café to checking out the authentic local saloon bars as the Texan sun begins to set, the Hyatt is exactly what you'd hope for with plenty of Cowtown charm thrown in for good measure.

This hotel has nice large rooms. The check in and out was very professional. Awesome employees! Now for the negatives....there is a train that runs during the night behind the hotel. I heard the whistle each time! There is no microwave in the rooms. The beds were just ok, not great. Mattresses probably need to be replaced. The breakfast was not… Read more

I heard the whistle each time! There is no microwave in the rooms. The beds were just ok, not great. Mattresses probably need to be replaced. The breakfast was not much at all. We picked this hotel for the location. Many shops and restaurant within walking distance. Probably will not stay here again. Read less

This hotel has the absolute worst customer service as does the Hyatt company. I spent two days on hold with the Hyatt reservation desk. Intermittently I gave up and called the front desk receptionists who varies from unhelpful to completely rude. I attempted to add rooms giving them more business and on the first day was told to call back the second day and was guaranteed that the rooms, price, and government discount would be done. When I called back they did not have the correct rooms available, did not know how to add in the discount and ultimately charged me more for rooms that were not going to work. I called back to ask about cancelling since they didn’t have the right rooms and they said since I had made them that day that it was too bad and their policy for no refunds on the first night would apply. This was not something they stated to me but said “oh it was online” which makes no sense because I made reservations online. Hyatt has been unwilling to help in any way and the trip hasn’t even started. It’s unreal how poorly they have treated us. Read less

Loved staying here! Nice to be able to walk to all the shopping and food. Staff very pleasant and thank you for having a grab and go breakfast during this COVID crisis, made it so easy. Room very clean and nice. Shout out to the night security, enjoyed talking with him and giving us some tips.

We wanted to be close to our sons apartment and thought that Hyatt would be a good choice based on reputation and reviews. Well the staff were all as nice as could be, the location was in walking distance to food and the stock yard. The room was okay but old and fairly clean. The comforter had stains on it, we later noticed small ants on the nightstand which ended up in the bed. After leaving the hotel I had one crawl down my face. There is a new hotel getting built so I would say Hyatt will need to up their game. Read less

Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. As a Hyatt member we were offered complimentary breakfast, although we did not use that service. Location was wonderful, everything in the Historic Stockyards was within walking distance.
