I have stayed multiple times in this hotel and have had consistently positive experiences. The staff are always positive, welcoming, and helpful and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The business center is user-friendly and the breakfasts are fresh, healthy, varied, and plentiful.

If there’s anything more frustrating after a long day of travel is being detoured by construction. We drove around for 20 minutes trying to find out how to get to the Hyatt Place before calling....(you know how men are about asking for directions). If we wouldn’t have called, we probably would have waited for the Stockyards to open Exchange Avenue after the cattle drive. No way would we have found the way into the hotel parking lot. Signage & directions help weary travelers. The greeting was friendly and I couldn’t figure out why we had to pay $10 a night for parking since it was abundant, but we did. Didn’t spend much time in our room - which we found out was a good thing.. All things Stockyards were right in front of us. We could hear the moos of the cows from our fifth floor window. Unfortunately we could also hear the trains that passed about every 40 minutes. The noise wouldn’t have been an issue if we could have figured out a way to turn on the room’s ac/heating unit - we would have used that as white noise - but for the life of us, we couldn’t figure it out. Our room also came with two unexpected visitors. I’m sure the construction drove them in - but all the way to the fifth floor. We found these two visitors before we turned in for the night and thinking about the incident didn’t aid us to get a good night’s sleep. The landscape crew began their day shortly after 7 am and I think housekeeping began theirs shortly after 8. Again, deterrents to a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast coffee was good and hot and unfortunately the buffet ran out of utensils and napkins, right after I scooped up my eggs and sweet potatoes. We were told that more flatware would be out in TWO minutes - which really turned into 20 as the server had much more to do than just to clean utensils. Location and friendly service was great - but it needs to be mixed with attention to details. Read less

The rooms are not great for sound proof. You will hear everything that goes on outside and in the hallways. The staff and hotel are great. Can’t beat the location in reference to stock yards. Stayed for the Marine Corps Ball.

Great selection, unique foods - not your usual "reheated in a bag" items. Comfortable beds and linens and love the sitting area! Read less

If you are spending time visiting the Stockyards, this is a great hotel. This isn’t a full service hotel so you shouldn’t expect bell service or valet parking. Front desk staff was friendly. Room was clean and spacious, more like a suite. Quiet. Breakfast was included. It did not have the variety of some hotels but the quality was excellent. I would have liked the food to be hotter and they needed to pay attention to the coffee. Both coffee dispensers were out in the morning at the same time for quite a while. Parking is a$10. We were able to park in the front lot so I don’t know anything about the back lot. Hotel also appeared to offer some bar service. Read less
