The door to the room had a gap even though the door was closed all the way. Looked like it had been busted open before and patched. The ceiling was patched and had water stains all over. the tub was dirty and had mold along the side in the grout

To start off.. We had no idea about the wrist band policy when using the swimming pool, until it was too late. Our niece came to hang out with us a few hours while her mom was at work. To start off.. We had no idea about the wrist band policy when using the swimming pool, until it was too late. Our niece came to hang out with us a few hours while her mom was at work. When we were going to swim we were told she wasn't allowed too because the limit was 4 bands per room and she wouldn't be able to swim since that makes an extra person. We need to get another room for more wrist bands.. I've never once been to a hotel that did that just to access the pool, so I had no reason to expect it. No other option was offered. We couldn't leave her alone, so nobody got to swim and all we could do was sit in hotel room that night once it was too dark for the beach. Also, when we first arrived the bathroom had dirt and sand all over the bottom of the tub from the beach I'm sure, so that was definitely not checked by the cleaning staff. Counters were spotted dirty also. My kids didn't want to use the tub/shower because of how bad it looked. There was ALOT of sand. In the closet there were empty cloth hangers, 1 loose robe that appeared to be thrown in there and 1 pair of slippers. (We had 4 guest registered) the robe looked already used. We went to the front to get more towels after swimming and they said they would bring them up to us, after almost 30 minutes we had to call and ask whats taking so long. Within minutes of us asking they finally brought them. I think they had forgot. They seemed annoyed when got to the room and didn't apologize for the long wait, just handed us towels and walked off. Also the remote to the TV was almost useless. Tv guide and menu option didnt work. When it asked me to press select on an option about ordering movies, the select button never did anything. It was annoying. Other than the close access to the beach ( which there were cheaper hotels to choose with that also) it wasnt a great experience. I paid more for this hotel because I felt Hilton would be a better experience based on past visits to other Hiltons, but unfortunately it wasn't.. :( Read less

Requested view of the Gulf -- received that, and more, with a beautiful view of the pool and terrace. The hotel is across the boulevard from the beach with close and easy access via the traffic light at the corner. Delicious meal at Landry's "just next door." Quiet room and lovely decor. Friendly and responsive staff. Many breakfast options (both… Read more

Nicely appointed bar just off the lobby and another waiting at "center pool." Hilton service just can't be beat. Read less

The staff was very helpful as we arrived and departed! The staff also did a great job of giving us information about the hotel and areas inside the hotel! This is a great place for your family to stay!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Old tired worn out Hilton (with no fitted sheets)

You know the kind of Hilton I’m talking about. It’s what their brand has come to represent. Old, tired, worn out facilities that should be represented as a Ramada, or comfort inn. They do not put fitted sheets on the bed, so you just end up in a pile of sheets in the morning. If you come here, bring zip-ties, so you can zip-tie the sheets to the… Read more

They do not put fitted sheets on the bed, so you just end up in a pile of sheets in the morning. If you come here, bring zip-ties, so you can zip-tie the sheets to the bed frame. The swimming pool is ok, but the sauna is far from functional. Drinks are outrageously overpriced, that is, if you can get the bartender to serve you. Their service is terrible, as they sit there talking with friends, and only occasionally do their job. The takeaway? You can do much better than this Hilton for the $$$. Go get an Air B&B, or stay at a different resort. This place is way beyond needing an upgrade, and frankly not worth the money. Read less
