Booked a Driver's Room, which had no view, but we knew that going in and were fine with it. We knew that we could step outside on the patio and see the views without paying the pricey amount other rooms are. We paid $99 for the room and that was just fine with us. There are plenty of places to walk outside and see the valley. The room was tiny, and just had the basics. It was fine and worked for us for one night. I've used the word 'fine' three times, and that's because that's just what it is (minus the incredible view). The restaurant was a bit overpriced, and the food was ok. Limited options on where to stay there, and glad we chose this one because it was overlooking the valley and we came for the view. Also, as a reminder for anyone, no alcohol is served there because its Navajo nation. Not a big deal for us but just letting you all know! Read less

We were lucky to stay one night last week during our Spring Break trip. The view is to die for. We watched sunrise right out our balcony. The place was well kept and the service was friendly. The bath towels were big and fluffy. The best towels in all hotels we stayed for this Zion, Bryce, Page trip. Everyone should stay here at least once in… Read more

I reserved a room last year for an arrival last week. The web page of this hotel is very misleading, insinuating that all rooms have views towards the Mittens, etc. This was not the case for me and my wife. We were assigned a driver room without any view. This hotel claims to be environmentally conscious and informs the guests that they do not have a swimming pool out of respect of the natives that have to haul water daily to their homes. The experience that we had is that the toilets flush a high quantity of water and the shower seems to be a "Niagra Falls". Also the restaurant was below par especially for the breakfast buffet. We would suggest future visitors to Monument Valley to stay at Gouldings Lodge which we do recommned highly. Read less

This is the place to stay in monument valley. A bit expensive, but hey it's vacation! Good size , clean room. Recommend the upper floors for best view in the morning. A nice surprise was the restaurant which was delicious and reasonably priced. Definite recommend one of the Navajo tours to properly experience Monument Valley!

The View Hotel is a bit pricey, but worth it for best monument valley experience. We had a starview room, so we could do night photography from hotel room balcony. The light noise from hotel was minimal (the parking lot lighting leaked into picture, but did not prevent awesome pics - just has to crop the foreground out of shots). I knew when… Read more

The light noise from hotel was minimal (the parking lot lighting leaked into picture, but did not prevent awesome pics - just has to crop the foreground out of shots). I knew when booking that we would have good views, but the some of the iconic formations were pretty close to the hotel. We had booked some monument valley tours, and we perhaps compromised our photo opportunities doings so (since what you can do on you own is great, and since we had some poorly run sunrise and sunset tours, we could have done better from hotel (did get excellent sunset from Wildcat Trail right from back of hotel our first night, and for our sunset tour, we did race back to hotel since blue hour view were better from the hotel than down in the valley. If I return, there is no doubt this is where I would stay, and I would try to get a starview room again Read less
