I booked our rooms using the Marriott.com website. We were planning a ski holiday in Park City and I booked a King Room with Concierge Lounge Access. The website room description says that this room has a tub/shower combination, and a 15 sq ft balcony. We checked in at about 4pm and found that our room did not have a bathtub and did not have a balcony. I questioned this at reception and I was told that we couldn’t have a bathtub, as only 30% of the rooms have bathtubs and none was available. After a day skiing, there is nothing better than a soak in a nice bath, so I was disappointed that the Marriott website was misleading. The window of our room faced an enclosed pool area, which included a hot-tub. This meant that the room air had a strong chlorine smell, which could not be removed as there was no window to the outside. There were many small defects with the room- eg the bracket for the shower handle had become detached from the shower wall, there were no towel rails in the bathroom meaning that hand towels etc had to be left draped over the basin; the aircon was too cold for the first few days of our stay, then too hot for the last few days; and the room lights and bedside lamps provided no light whatsoever over the bed, so it was impossible to read in bed. House keeping was a bit haphazard. Variously no shower cap, no shampoo and conditioner, no face cloths, and the cleaning cloths left behind. Its difficult to leave a tip for this level of service. On the plus side the room has a Keurig coffee machine which made good coffee. Room slippers were provided on request. The room was very spacious. The shuttle bus service to the ski field works well. The undercover parking garage was great when it snowed. There is a coin laundry. I was a bit naïve in thinking that the Concierge Lounge would be like other Marriott lounges that I have experienced. Sheraton Park City is very favourably priced compared to high end hotels in Park City and I think I was expecting too much for the price (average $550 per night for us). The lounge provided a buffet breakfast that Americans would expect- bacon, sausages, omelette, etc, but there were not enough tables for all the guests, and no organisation to assist with this. It was like a table scramble at a shopping centre food court. The lounge also provides soft drinks and nuts in the afternoon, one hot appetiser item (like crumbed artichoke) and one dessert item (like brownies, or cheesecake) in the evening. On check out I was annoyed that an extra $20 facility fee (to cover the cost of the pool, hot tub and parking etc) was charged each day, plus an extra $40 -$50 tax was added, including a tax on the facility fee. These fees are listed on the Marriott website, but as they are not optional, I don’t know why they are not included in the advertised room charge. I think the Sheraton provides a standard of amenity and service consistent with its prices, but I’m not sure I would stay here again. Read less

I'm Platinum member for life with this chain - but the truth seems that this property does not honey the chains customs and even courtesies for honest and nice guest exchanges. I asked to pay for a suite (Still available on line) The manager told me no, I had to keep the smaller room as booked. Now that is a first.

I stayed here for a few nights around the Sundance Film Festival. The hotel also doubles as the Sundance Festival headquarters. It is a little out of town but within an easy cab ride of all the main festival venues. The breakfast is good and plentiful and the staff friendly and welcoming.

We booked several nights here, 8 weeks before we decided to tag Park City onto our whirlwind trip of the US. With the hotel being a part of the Sheraton Group and offering Club Facilities we knew we had a great deal. On arrival, the bell staff were so eager to please and couldn't do enough for you. We'd come off an early flight from Vegas into SLC and were surprised to be given our room key, by Reception at 10am. Thank you, you guys were champions! The shuttle service offered by the hotel, and their drivers, was also extremely accommodating. It was no trouble for them to drop you into Main Street, Park City during the day and they were happy to return and pick you up as long it didn't clash with afternoon pickups from the Mountain (ie around 3 to 4pm). If you were skiing, it was required to pre-book your transfer times in the mornings. The afternoons the shuttle would virtually be waiting for you as you came off the mountain. The longest we waited for a return shuttle was 15 minutes, most days it was only 5 minutes. At night, the shuttle would run you into Main Street, pretty much as you required. They would give you the number to call the driver and they would return to pick you up. The service was entirely free. The hotel is a little over a mile from Main Street and the Chairlift, however, it wasn't a problem with such accommodating drivers running the shuttle service. The Club Lounge was a little hit and miss and definitely not on par with Australian lounges. However, we weren't paying a huge amount to stay here so we can't complain. We had a double Queen Room (typical hotel room style). As we were hardly in the room, except for showering and sleeping, we were comfortable. Bedding and Pillows were all great. I like a bath after a full day of skiing, however our room was shower only. The room was large enough for three people, with three large suitcases and hand luggage. The foyers were lovely with Christmas decor and there is a massive indoor pool area for large groups, which we didn't have time to use. There is also a gymnasium and underground car park. If you are after a luxury stay, this is not the hotel for you. It is comfortable, clean, economical, showcasing a very presentable foyer area, and a club lounge, but it is not a 5 star Sheraton property. If you're after the luxury lodge feel, you would need to look elsewhere, with a much higher spend. Locally, we loved the Grub Steak House, which is around the corner from the Sheraton, and one of the best Steak Houses in Utah. So location wise, the hotel was fine. We were in Park City for 4 days and found the hotel ideal for our needs as a family. Read less
