Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City, Utah

The hotel

Living up to its location, Hotel Monaco’s as dramatic inside as Salt Lake City is outside. Unapologetically decadent, and just on the right side of wild, its daring colours and patterns, plush furnishings, and complimentary Wine Hour welcome you back each night, whether you’ve been hitting the nearby slopes, hitting the free 24-hour gym, or just hitting the world-class shops and sights a stroll away. After the wine, you can slink off to The Vault – a den-style lounge with a creative cocktail list and bar menu. If you’re after something more substantial, Monaco Hotel’s Bambara restaurant mixes a casual bistro vibe with refined New American creations – all in the unique surrounds of an old Continental Bank lobby, complete with its historic arched windows.

I came back on business to SLC and I had no hesitation on staying here again. It was a great decision. When I arrived, they had a welcome back gift and wonderful note for me. I had a long travel day followed by working before coming to the hotel and this just made my day. I had drinks and dinner at The Vault, the bar. Wonderful as well. It was… Read more

It was Halloween themed in decor and drinks, which was fun and tasty. Definitely stay here! Read less

Older antique styled hotel. Comfortable rooms with nice beds. Shower/bath combo bathrooms are okay but not the best. Gym on premises and restaurant with good food options. Nice lobby and friendly helpful staff.

First time in SLC after touring National Parks in southern Utah. Reception gentleman gave us a good room after the one originally slated for didn’t match up with what I requested. He upgraded us to a king at the end of the hall and elevators from a queen. Very nice; all of the staff was friendly and polite. I’d stay here again. The hotel… Read more

The hotel restaurant is overpriced, but pretty good. We were out during the 5-6 happy hour: wine and catered snacks. Read less
