I wasn’t sure what to expect on my first visit, but I met several ladies and travelled with my Mom. The shuttle from the St George airport was easy, the check in seamless... and I went on my first hike on the property right after check in. The views are astounding. The lobby has giant sliding glass doors to open to the patio when the weather is warm. (Our days Nov 7-11 were high 60s in the day to very cool in the evenings.) I loved the two hour Challenge hikes and the St George Art walking tour. I absolutely loved the rappelling and Tuachan Saddle hikes... and my 80 minute massage was divine. I got the Ultimate Essentials package and it was perfect. Food was included, buffets for breakfast and lunch with lots of options and healthy fare. Dinner was sit down and choice from a menu, and the duck, beef and venison entrees I had were excellent. Dinner also included soups and creative salads and a dessert. I liked being able to purchase a nice glass of wine with dinner at the bar. The guides were knowledgeable and I was able to hike into places I never would have been able to find or access without them. The 80 min massage was perfect for my tired muscles after the long hikes... I like adventures that push me a bit, but visitors can also choose from yoga, wellness classes, cooking classes, etc. I chose more strenuous hikes, but others in our party chose more spa experiences and canyoneering. The Ultimate Essentials package gave me $150 credit per day and it was the right amount for me- The price was worth it if you like to do some of the high adventures and spa services, and especially for the food. I will go again and hope to go back with my husband and teen daughter. There is something for everyone... Customer Service was outstanding! Bottom line- the inclusive package was worthwhile if you want to hike or use the spa or not have to worry about dining bills. A GREAT TRIP! Read less

One review called this a 3-star resort with 5-star prices. I concur, except I only give 2 stars for cost-benefit. The main attraction is the view, but everything else is average at most. The room was ok, until it wasn't (shower broken). The resort is fine, but in itself nothing much. Our bed only had a nightstand on one side; the safe was small; the pool was basic; the food was ok. That's not terrible, but you can find all that in less expensive resorts / hotels / vacation homes in the same area, including the view. . Make sure to be on the 2nd floor; you'll loudly hear every step of the person above you. For their price, that shouldn't happen. . Shower didn't work. As we were there for one overnight and had plans, there was no time to deal with people going into our room. Staff wasn't apologetic, but we thought they might offer us something for the hassle. They didn't. Staff said we could shower in the spa at the other end of the resort. We agreed, and asked if we could have a late check-out, which they denied. I understand one can't always grant that, but if a shower doesn't work in such a resort, you don't say no. (note: we checked in early but came ready to stow our luggage by the reception. We were in our hiking clothes and had a bag for the spa for later, so we just dropped off our luggage in the room and left, only returned after official check-in time). We were eventually offered a mini discount, but later our check-out receptionist didn't know about it, which led to an awkward last discussion. . Lastly, we had an expensive Caprese sandwich at the resort - it was very basic, looked unappetizing, and was accompanied by limpy fries. . Except for the broken shower nothing was really too bad, but overall the resort is unacceptable for the price. Read less

A peaceful, quiet place to recharge and set new goals. So many options for activities of all kinds. This was a wonderful experience, made especially so for me by Ian, Alicia and others who shared their kindness and wisdom. Highly recommend for solo travelers who might otherwise hesitate.

They rest on their laurels because of the red rocks. Food: Breakfast - best option of the day. Morgan & Jenna were Superstars! Room service - 🤮 Dinner - oh my...where to begin? Beyond 🤮 dry chicken, no butter for baked potato, crunchy green beans. The meal was barely edible. I recommend skipping dinner here at all costs! Overpriced as well. Ultimately, I was unable to relax because my room was so hot despite requesting maintenance to come check on the AC. I have a serious back injury so hiking was out for me. The spa reviews scared me away. I definitely will not be returning. I’ll spend my time in Sedona for a quality relaxing Red Rocks resort experience. Don’t waste your time or money here. Read less

Beautiful setting in the red rocks. Resort is more like an institution, if you like that environment, you’ll like this place. Spa services mediocre. We were given quite a bit of misinformation for hikes we had signed up for.
