The hotel had excellent service with very professional and friendly staff. My room was very comfortable and just as I had expected. The view from the 10th floor was great, overlooking the river. A Starbucks is conveniently located on the first floor.

The front desk person checked us in and readily answered multiple questions about a restaurant for dinner, how to get to the Canal Walk, breakfast the next morning, etc. Hotel employees are supposed to do this easily, of course, but anyone with travel experience knows that good service does not always happen! There is a concierge, but we did not need him as our registration clerk knew everything we wanted to know. The registration queue is a bit confusing. I think this could be fixed with a sign, but the concierge is there to direct you where to stand as you wait. We ate breakfast there the next morning. Excellent coffee, not bitter at all, and very good food. Our server was very personable and earned his tip. The breakfast was over-priced but we were seeking convenience that morning and went ahead. We found the bed pillows to be way too soft; you could get smothered just laying your head on one and rolling over! There is a garage attached to the hotel that you can access with a different set of elevators than the ones that go to the rooms. $25 a day, and this is similar to some public lots nearby. Street parking, if it can be found, is absolutely free. Too tired to go street-parking-space-hunting that evening, and so went with the garage. Overall, upscale and pleasant, as I have usually found Omni Hotels to be. Read less

The front desk staff, particularly Rainey, went above and beyond with friendliness and helpfulness. I didn’t love the city view we had our first night and, even though I know it to be annoying behavior, felt compelled to inquire about a river view room. Rainey was able to score us a room with a river view and another desk attendant even walked us back up to our original room to make sure our key still worked (it didn’t!) so we could grab our things. Also, on-street parking is plentiful. Room service food was high quality and the server was so polite. And there are so many dining and drinking options within walking distance. Honestly, we didn’t come away with a single complaint about the hotel and very much enjoyed everything about our trip to Richmond. Already looking forward to returning! Read less

This is a downtown hotel that does not have a huge lobby area, but the staff if very helpful and friendly and I had no issues traveling as a single woman for a conference. And, there's a Starbucks in the lobby. There is a parking garage so you don't have to use the Valet parking, but it is a little tricky getting from the parking garage to the… Read more

And, there's a Starbucks in the lobby. There is a parking garage so you don't have to use the Valet parking, but it is a little tricky getting from the parking garage to the connected hotel, so ask the attendant in the parking office. There was a Keurig coffee machine in my room which was MUCH better than brewing one of those tiny pots of coffee. Read less

No wifi, no free parking, no complimentary breakfast and the towels were the worst quality that I have ever seen. We stayed at a Best Western for the second part of our trip and everything besides the bed was a thousand times better.
