Staff is just wonderful all around; rooms are clean, modern decor, comfortable, and large for a city hotel. There is a large desk with USB charging ports, a bar/snack area, and very large bathroom. The Bis restaurant & bar in the hotel has a professional crowd, excellent menu and super staff. The area is safe and doormen are always there 24/7. Benjamin at the front desk made sure check-in was quick and easy and that every request was filled; a wonderful professional and great ambassador for the Kimpton chain. The George is my go-to hotel in DC. Read less

I can’t describe how amazing my stay was from beginning to end thanks to Hanry. I’ve never met an overnight auditor who was able to make sure my stay was smooth and enjoyable. My friends had a blast and it was evident that Hanry and his team were committed to providing a luxury yet unique experience. Thank you! I’ll definitely be back.

We reserved two rooms at this hotel for one night. When we checked in we were asked to leave a security deposit for each room with a promise that these funds will be returned to us upon our departure. One week later we are still waiting for the security deposit to be returned. When I called I was transferred to the accounting office but no one answered the phone. When we checked in we were told that only one room was ready. We were directed to which room to go. When we when to that room we found that that room has not been cleaned yet. It was a mess. We were then directed to another room which was ready. The rooms are nice and comfortable, however, the air condition makes noise if you leave it on at night. I did not sleep well because of this. However, since we only stayed one night I did not make an issue out of it. If you are looking for a quick, simple breakfast go out of the hotel and you will find around the corner a nice place to have breakfast. Read less

We checked in late around midnight. The hotel staff laughed in my face when I asked if the bikes came with a lock. Room 702 smelled like cigarettes but was deemed non-smoking. I booked through orbitz which apparently did not include the ~$30 per night amenities fee so that was a surprise. Our bathroom was filthy. The king size bed has a full… Read more
We checked in late around midnight. The king size bed has a full size bed cover on it that was covered with a sheet so you pretty much sleep on the mattress here. No pillow covers besides a standard cover, so you’re sharing pillow germs with countless strangers. Hotel is 1 block from sober living services so there are many homeless people. We saw one OD on the block of the hotel and an ambulance came. Read less
