I called Eli a few weeks prior after booking in the Bonvoy app. I explained the occasion and he came through in grand form! He pulled out all the stops and worked with me to make sure we had a good stay. We had champagne on ice in the room with chocolate covered strawberries. We also got upgraded to a city view room with a king size bed. My wife enjoyed our stay so much she told me she’d like to make the stay an annual affair. Major props to your hospitality staff especially Eli! The hotel is in a great location in walking distance to shops and restaurants along Connecticut and Florida Avenues. It’s an easy walk to and from the Adams Morgan area too. If you time you stay right you can visit the local weekend farmers market located half a block away from the hotel’s front door. Read less

I just wanted to take a moment to give credit where credit is due. The hotel, staff and amenities were top notch, but Wanda went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thanks again Wanda! We had a blast :) ~Stife and Jason

The rooms are very nice and have all the amenities you need. Views are terrific. Beds were comfortable and there were lots of different pillow options to satisfy even the most picky sleeper. This is the only place I'll stay when visiting DC. The location is perfect without being too touristy and its a very safe area to walk around. Read less

We came to stay at The Venn Washington DC having emailed the manager who regularly posts on TripAdvisor that it would be extremely helpful for us to receive an upgrade to a suite. I had already requested my SNA through Bonvoy but five days out it did not look as though my request was going to be approved. Nevertheless upon emailing Jennifer, she responded within a day telling me that she would be delighted to upgrade me and my family to a suite. The room was superb overall with newly appointed furnishings and a huge amount of space… Essentially two rooms both with doors in between in order to keep the children in their own area and the adults in another room. We had two bathrooms as well as two televisions. It was an extremely comfortable stay and from the eighth floor and we had lovely views of the DuPont Circle neighbourhood. On the the day we arrived there was a huge party going on in the lobby but the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and helped me up the steps with the stroller (the children were fast asleep) and there is also a hydraulic lift which can help you reach the lobby level from the garage. Parking at the hotel is an extortionate $54 but I used the app SpotHero to find something for half the price just around the corner. The one slight disappointment is breakfast where the items on offer are particularly mediocre. Although the staff serving are extremely friendly and we enjoyed seeing them each morning on our two night stay, there isn’t much by way of offerings apart from a few muffins, bagels, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Some items also do not qualify for the Titanium Breakfast offering. There is a $28 resort fee included in the hotel rate. I knew about this before arriving so I was prepared for this ridiculous fee. The credit, however, can be used towards paying for food and drinks at the bar/restaurant. One of these resort fees was removed after we had been accidentally billed for some food instead of it being comped due to the food being less than the resort fee. Overall the staff were extremely accommodating. The position in the city is an excellent one, and it was nice to stay there as opposed to other properties that I used to call upon regularly when I was in Washington including the Washington Hilton and the Westin Georgetown on M Street NW. Compared to the Washington Hilton, which was a longtime favourite of mine, there is simply no comparison although the Hilton does have the edge on the breakfast offerings. I hope that the hotel will decide to increase its offerings for its breakfast moving forward now that the pandemic is firmly in the rear view mirror. A lessening of options for top tier guests should no longer be an excuse to pull back on services which were a selling point before 2020. I’d like to applaud Mairelys, Eli, Wanda, & most of all….Lanai (I hope I spelled that correctly)! The staff here is so helpful & kind. We experienced one problem that I don’t need to get into as Jennifer Goodman, the Hotels General Manager promptly took care of! She was so empathetic and sincere about the “guest experience” and how important that is to her team. Would we stay here again….would we recommend to friends? A resounding yes! Read less
