I have so many complaints about staying at this hotel since checking in on Feb 26th at 430PM. #1. I would recommend since there were minimal hotel guest staying at this hotel, to at the very minimum inform a guest that you have to request a coffee maker and microwave during your stay, its not information they readily provide you unless you ask, that's unacceptable. #2 Provide basic customer service in term,s of having hotel staff ask if room service is needed, I purpously did not leave the do not disturb sign on my door to see if staff would ask if i needed a room refresh since I stayed two days #3 The night manager on the 26th asked if I was informed of the complimentary bottle of wine, I told her no, while she did offer it, I asked why didn't the staff that check me offer this? # Hotel states that there is valet service, when I asked at check it, they staff stated that there is no valet available and that I would have to find my own parking somewhere # The hotel on their website and booking .com states that their is a restaurant and bar; however, on the evening of Feb 26th, I called the front desk to ask what time the restaurants would close, i was then notified that the restaurant is closed, I asked when will it reopen, the front desk staff stated that it was indefinitely closed. I asked wouldn't that have been information that you could have provided at check in? At least provided a list of local eateries that deliver to the hotel 100s of hotels and I decided the choose a hotel with staff that have minimal customer service skills, with the exception of the night manager and the front desk staff on the day of check out who at least made an effort to accommodate me during my stay. #5 The hotel charges you for a resort fee at $60 when there are zero amenities provided (ieie hot tub, pool, restaurant and bar, etc) #6. Since you niether offer coffee (unless you ask for a coffee maker, and staff should expect you to need one and no expect you to ask for it) at least offer vending machines or snacks at purchase either on the floors or reception lobby desk, they do neither of these things, make a conscious effort to try and make accommodations for your guests needs. I would never stay nor recommend anyone i know to stay at this hotel, COVID on No COVID restrictions, over prices, staff unwilling to be hospitable and attempt to at least want to do the basic things. As of today I have filed 2 complaints one is Federal on the absurd charges they decide to do without any explanation like your resort fee you weren't told about or the couple of extra hundred dollars of authorizations they have held on your card for a lot longer then they advise, their demeanor got me asking questions with a trip that should have… Read more
As of today I have filed 2 complaints one is Federal on the absurd charges they decide to do without any explanation like your resort fee you weren't told about or the couple of extra hundred dollars of authorizations they have held on your card for a lot longer then they advise, their demeanor got me asking questions with a trip that should have been about being a productive trip, in Zoom interviews, what I got instead of Rick Vasquez demanding additional authorizations interrupting 2 meetings for more authorizations. YOU BEHAVED WORSE THEN HOLIDAY INN This is very unusual if your already booked into many hotels they did have my card on file,. I asked to deal with someone else so a lady assistant manager was quick to give his card to me as she doesn't seem to enjoy working with him either. There was no reason for him to take the approach they did, where am I going to go on the 8th floor of course I am coming down! HOW DARE YOU take away the ONLY DAY I had to make my future better while I HAVE ALREADY PAID to be somewhere and you make all this about you and your importance. HE SHOULD BE FIRED RIGHT ON THE SPOT. Even before pissed off, none of them are concerned with your satisfaction even when I did mention about one staff that was excellent, they have an attitude of get the F out of my face from the main asian manager on down to front desk manager Rick Vasquez. IF you only want to deal with fussy gay guys then put up a flag and make it that kind of resort, otherwise stop hating on women or I bring 400 of them to your parking lot close to a #Me To Act. So that is why I told Federal official friends that something isn't right here, but something else is certainly going on then just hospitality as there is none. Read less

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting DC. The only good thing at this hotel was the valet service and valet parking. They were very accommodating and wanting to please. Kudos to the Valet! The rest of the hotel experience was below subpar, if that is even possible? I am unsure if we got the last room available or one that was never used. The room was OLD and outdated and reminded us of a cheap hotel room. The room was way too hot and stuffy, with no way of actually turning down the heat despite there being controls. The yellow chair by the desk was disgustingly filthy. There was no coffee machine, mini bar, or robe in the room, as suggested in the room amenities and description. When we initially turned on the water to the shower, a dead fly or spider fell out of the faucet. There was no water pressure, and dribbled from the showerhead. The front desk personnel had attitudes with a rude demeanor as if they were put out because we wanted to check-in. Not sure why they even worked here. They don't seem happy or enjoy their job—definitely zero customer service capability. The neighborhood is fine. The hotel is located northwest of the Whitehouse, about a 30min walk. It is about 4 miles from the DC Capitol, or a 1 1/2 hour walk if that gives you an idea of its location. Read less

During check in the hotel asked for my credit card for incidentals which I gladly handed over. No incidentals were charged to my card but I received a charge from the hotel when I returned home from the trip. Apparently the hotel was a Kimpton when I stayed there but on December 1 changed the Royal Sonesta. Kimpton will not respond to my request for the charge to be reversed or why my card was even charged. Unfortunately this is not a Kimpton hotel anymore and there’s no one there to talk to about it. Beware about giving your credit card to the front desk when you pre-pay for your vacation.I have stayed at this property many times and it is definitely lost its charm. Read less

The only one good thing about this hotel is his location. Room is outdated. The bathroom could be more clean.$57 per day is too much for parking. There are extra charges after taxes so after all you can find much better hotel for this money.
