Embassy Row Hotel

Washington DC, USA

The hotel

Recently renovated, this one-of-a-kind hotel has been taken over by an urban funk and eclectic flair. Perfectly located in DuPont Circle, the Embassy Row features a cozy and vibrant public space, including a lounge, a library, social lobby, boutique café, and innovative restaurant with its own 24- hour chef’s pantry and refreshing patio overlooking Embassy Row. At night, this space changes from a tasty coffee shop to the hotel’s restaurant Station Kitchen & Cocktails, offering a delicious selection of artisanal cocktails and tapas plates to share. Another new addition is the outdoor rooftop terrace and bar that puts you on the shoulders on DC. The rooftop is also where you’ll find the swimming pool, complete with lounge area and cabanas – the perfect respite after a day’s sightseeing. The only thing they ask you to do here is to sit back and relax; they will take care of you from the moment you walk in the door.

Very clean hotel with excellent services, but lacked some basic features like complimentary breakfast and easy, cheap laundry service, which you could find at any old Best Western. My company paid for my stay, but if they hadn't, I certainly would have taken my money elsewhere.

I needed a hotel near one of the embassy's and this hotel was perfectly situated. Quite a walk to the national mall but it was doable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were good and clean. Food was okay at the downstairs Station. We used the pool in the afternoon, but there was not enough seating. On the whole it was a nice place to stay and… Read more

Stayed for four nights in early July and enjoyed our stay. Location is excellent, immediately off DuPont Circle - handy for the Metro or alternatively a reasonable walk down to the National Mall and various landmarks. The hotel is comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again but might stretch the budget a little and go for a streetview. Read less

Having unpacked went down to 'Station' kitchen and cocktail bar, there seemed to be a lack of staff as 1 bar person seemed to be dealing with all drinks orders and those for food, so a little queue formed. Decided to order food at approx 20:00 and it took nearly 2 hours for it to arrive, despite chasing up at the bar on several occasions, if it had not been for fact that we were staying in hotel I would have cancelled order, the wait was a joke as order was for chicken special (chicken/fries/veg). When it arrived it was pretty tasteless and the veg had never been near boiling water. There is al dente and downright hard!! Breakfast next morning was nearly as bad with waiting staff constantly complaining they had to deal with both food and drinks orders, and looking on customers as if they shouldn't be there. Would not agree that this is a 4* Hotel as advertised Read less

I had a lovely stay at this hotel! I got a great deal on the room and the location of the hotel was perfect! The neighborhood is safe and there are lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. The farmers market on Sunday was really nice and the rooftop deck was super cute.
