Located in the West End area of Washington, with easy access to restaurants and Georgetown shopping. 4-blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro and Foggy Bottom Metro for travelling further afield. Transfer time from Dulles International Airport: 1 hour.

Beware of this hotel. Brought major issues to hotel management but they have been silent... that tells you something. Hilton corporate stayed away as it is independently managed / franchised. False advertisement: The hotel advertises its fitness facility as opened with reduced service in booking platforms but it is completely closed without any alternatives. The posting outside the gym mention alternatives but there are none. They are luring guests by advertising serves even knowing they are no offering a service or facility for more than a month. DC new COVID guidelines were issued in December. COVID-risk hotel: Signs regarding mask requirement are posted. However, they are never implemented. Several guests come in/out, walking in hallways and congregating in large numbers at the lobby without any reminders from the front desk staff. HGI Georgetown failed to implement the Hilton CleanStay initiative. Other hotels are very very aggressive with face coverings. Trash collection: No instructions at check-in or in the room regarding trash collection. Hallways have row of trash sitting for an entire day. Apparently, you have to call the front desk for trash collection. Well... it will be nice if guests know that upfront. Digital Key: It’s a 50/50 chance. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. No one can tell depending on the time of the day. Hilton Premium Internet: If you are eligible for a premium internet (Diamond members), you will be prompted to pay for the service. Be reminded that you have to tell the front desk staff at checkout so they can manually waive it. Check your receipt before stepping away. No recognition of Hilton status at this property. They don’t even provide 2 bottles of water as advertised as one of the basic amenity. You have to ask now... I thought they are minimizing guest contact? This is more of a cost-cutting initiative. Had a quick 1-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn DC/Georgetown late last week, when I accompanied my husband on a trip for work. While I didn’t have much time to explore the city, I was pleased with the surrounding neighborhood, and it’s proximity to major sites.The hotel itself was clean, simple, and affordable, and our room was comfortable enough for a short stay. While the view from our room was disappointing (overlooked a construction site), having an in-room microwave and mini fridge was wonderful. Offering such amenities is a rarity, but they’re always useful, and appreciated by guests. Valet parking (no self-parking available) was exorbitant, but this seems to be a common theme amongst hotels in major cities. Overall, we’d definitely consider staying at this hotel again should we find ourselves back in the DC area. Read less

I stayed at this hotel for a prolonged stay. Most of the staff is very nice and extremely helpful, thank you so much to the nice ladies at the day shifts!! but .. with some memorable exceptions. At Hilton Garden Inn you get the whole spectrum; from super nice to downright nasty. The staff there is so overwhelmed by the work load that it seems almost crazy. Some seem to hang out doing nothing, some are running around doing three people's work. Room was dark, beds ok, bathroom fine, but smell of weed persists in the hallways, and you have to clean you own room, so don't stay here for too long :) There are much better hotel options nearby, unless you smoke weed, then you will feel at home. ,( it is not allowed but since there is no staff to enforce the rules, it was a recurring experience..) Again, much cudos to the staff who tried their best at what seems as very mismanaged hotel. Read less

The hotel was clean, comfortable and great rates. Latrell from the front desk offered great customer service. It also had decent casual restaurant downstairs in the lobby. Will definitely stay there again.
