When you can literally enjoy a casual stroll with all your luggage from Union Square to the hotel lobby without breaking a sweat, that really means something. Even though the hotel is a bit on the crowded side, still nothing to complain about with the DC Circulator bus stop being only a block away. National Mall (and the rest of DC metropolitan… Read more

National Mall (and the rest of DC metropolitan area, if desired) is merely steps away. Perfect for short morning walk to Capitol Hill, since the building is in perfect view from just outside the lobby. Read less

Hotel was good, as usual. I've stayed here many times during July. I love the central location. It's a short walk to Union Station, Chinatown, and many of the Smithsonian museums. Front desk staff are always friendly and courteous. Always a great stay!

The hotel is old and dingy. The room smelled bad. The online pictures made it looked nice a newer but it is outdated. Needs to be updated or replace the carpet to make the rooms smell better or add some kind of freshener

You walk in and feel invited and impressed by the classy, friendly vibe. Then you get to the room. My room smelled of cigarettes. The AC didn't work, so it was always humid and warm. It also didn't help that there was only a vent to remove humidity in the bathroom without a fan. It was clean, but uncomfortable and stinky.
