I have had several different types of rooms over 5 years. Some better than others. However, staff is always friendly, food is always good and room service is top notch. I still really like this hotel.

If you need to hold a convention you need to check out the history in this beautiful hotel. It has a spacious open foyer entry with marble floors(don't slip) and fabulous restaurant! Great location and godd layout for holding a convention. Very professional staff.

Beautiful location and convenient to see the sites in DC. I have always enjoyed the Omni Shoreham for this yearly convention. The staff is always very helpful and go above and beyond to make your stay excellent. You will will not be disappointed by making the Omni your hotel.

The Omni Shoreham is classic, elegant, and charming place to stay. Its long history, appropriately explained in the lobbies, means that guests are in an historic heart of Washington. Very large rooms, skilled and friendly staff, exceptional grounds/gardens, and wonderful location. The only drawback was that the reception desk seemed chronically under-staffed (for me at check-in and as observed throughout my stay), with guests beginning their Omni visit by waiting in line for a quarter of an hour while the one (quite wonderful) staff person checked everyone in. Other than that, the hotel is a luxury experience. But management created a distinctly non-luxury experience at check-in, seemingly for the purpose of cutting costs by minimizing staffing at the reception desk (at least that's the impression you create.). Great hotel. Location is great. Event space is incredible. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Walking distance to some outstanding restaurants. I wished I could have stayed longer but I was on a time constraint
