I had a very enjoyable stay here on a short trip to DC. My room was not quite ready when I arrived. I was offered another room while I waited, but instead opted to take a walk around the city. I returned to a significantly upgraded room, which was beyond my expectations even as a top tier World of Hyatt member and certainly appreciated. The rooms show a bit of wear and tear in places, but are still quite comfortable. I was happy to see turndown service offered without having to request it and I enjoyed the amenities provided. I also ate dinner and breakfast at the Blue Duck Tavern, which was quite good. All-in-all, I was comfortable and felt the service being provided was top-notch. I will be happy to return in the future. Read less

This is a fabulous hotel in the heart of DC in easy walking distance of many attractions. It was like staying at a spa and the staff was extremely helpful without being pushy or overbearing. I would have liked to have stayed a lot longer here!

Terrible stay. Dirty rooms and don’t get me started with the food. Blah. I learned their restaurant recently lost their star. Doesn’t surprise me at all. Overall, I’d look for another hotel that has better rooms for the money.

I don't know why this hotel doesn't rate higher on your scale. We stayed here twice in one week during a professional training. As Hyatt Globalists, we were upgraded to nice suites. We enjoyed our breakfasts, and the 2 dinners we had with invited local friends and family (the lime flavored chilled crab corn chowder was heavenly, but unfortunately not offered for the second dinner (hot split pea soup, even though the weather was still warm). Getting to know Angelica at the front desk really pushed our stay experience to a higher level, making us feel at home and more personalized. She did everything she could to make our stay amazing, and went out of her way to make DC feel like home for us. We really felt appreciated as Hyatt Globalists. Read less

We met family members in Washington to celebrate daughters Birthday and attend the Redskins game. The game was an experience but the hotel was great. Everyone at the hotel is great from checking to checkout! Love the bar staff!
