Stayed two nights at the park Hyatt. Rooms are a bit small and gym is difficult to locate but overall a great stay. The service is excellent, the restaurant for breakfast is wonderful. Great location as well.

My wife and I stayed at the Park Hyatt, Washington, D.C. for two nights in early July.  Our reason for staying there was mostly business, even though I managed to work in a visit to a few museums during our stay.  We chose the Park Hyatt because my wife’s company gave a series of choices and the Park Hyatt seemed the best option for our needs.  We drove to Washington, D.C. because it was more convenient from the area where we live.  We opted to valet park the car for both days of our stay because we knew that parking would be an issue in this area.  The cost was $56 a day.  We could have self-parked in a nearby parking garage, but we knew that we would need the car at various times throughout our stay.  The valet parking option proved to be most convenient for us.  The front door staff was very quick to get our car and they immediately took care of parking it for us when we returned to the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and checked us into our king-size bedroom on the 10th floor.  The elevators were quick and efficient, and we were amused that they had benches in them.  Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.  We enjoyed the style of the room which appeared more like a studio apartment than a basic hotel business room.  Instead of the traditional rectangular desk, there were circular tables, a comfortable chair, a small sofa, and shelves.  We were easily able to find a comfortable space to do the business work we had to accomplish during our stay.  The wifi access was very easy to use and the speeds were relatively fast.  In addition to checking email, we were able to easily download a few documents and view some streaming content.  There were a good number of well placed electrical outlets to charge our electronic devices.  In fact, the outlets next to the bed also had two USB ports each.   The bathroom had a fair amount of room and the walk-in shower was above average in its size.  The towels were good quality and the bathroom was furnished with Le Labo products.  In addition to the traditional morning cleaning, there was also an additional early evening turndown service. I used the fitness center on both days of our stay.  It was located on the second floor but took some maneuvering to get to.  I had to take the elevator to the third floor and then take the stairway down to the second floor.  In the fitness center, there were three treadmills, three stationary bikes, and two elliptical machines.  One of the elliptical machines was not working the days I was there.  There was also an assortment of strength training machines and free weights.  The fitness center was more than adequate for me to get a good workout.  There was also an indoor pool at the hotel, but we did not use it.
The Park Hyatt had a Michelin starred restaurant for dinner which had some delicious looking dishes, but we did not eat there during our stay, because we had prior plans.  If you are in town to see the museums, monuments, or historical buildings of Washington, D.C. then you may find that this hotel is far away from the major sites.  I found that the closest subway stops were Dupont Circle and Farragut North. I think that the Park Hotel is a great choice if you have some business in Georgetown or the West End.  We have nothing but positive comments to offer regarding our stay at the hotel and praise for the excellent service of the staff. The Park Hyatt in D.C. is a luxurious hotel with ample business amenities and comfortable rooms. Experience continues to be excellent. The wonderful front desk staff are welcoming and love that the door staff race to get ahead of you to open doors and supplied umbrellas when we exited in the rain.
