The hotel

Housed in a converted early 1900's church, this is definitely a cool and quirky option when it comes to Washington hotels. The Adam Morgans neighbourhood is known for being a 24-hour 'hood' if you like - but as it's developed over the years the restaurants, bars and shops have become seriously cool, so it's perfect for weekend breaks for couples and friends alike. Your rooms is made to feel like a home from home. with bespoke furniture and unique artwork that keeps each room different, and will give you that warm-fuzzy feeling (don't worry - there is aircon for those summer trips!). No Goodbyes is the all day hangout thats on hand to cure those cravings, from coffee to cocktails, and brunch to late night bites. There's even a record player and a huge vinyl collection on hand for you to pick your own soundtrack.

The Line is so beautiful. More than that, the employees are top notch. Everyone was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional — from the front desk to the room service to the bartender. I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to give them a shout-out. It’s clear they care about the establishment and the guests. I would absolutely recommend… Read more

This hotel has probably the nastiest staff of the world. From the first step into it, they let you clear that you are disturbing them with your presence. “How you dare to book a room in the hotel where I work?”, or “Why have you come in my shift to order breakfast?”. I suppose that one of the questions to apply to the work at The Line was “Do you… Read more

The Line is my home away from home in DC The rooms are simply splendid; spacious, stylish and always such a comfy bed. The food is fantastic, there is great day time work space and glorious cocktails. Derrick at the front desk is a superstar, he is always so welcoming and helpful. I look forward to coming back time and time again.

On July 21, 2024, I booked two rooms for upcoming dates (January 2025) through hotels.com. Yesterday I received the following message from hotels.com: There was a problem with the payment method you provided at booking. To keep the reservation, you’ll need to contact the hotel and provide a valid payment method within 24 hours. I immediately called The Line Hotel DC and hotels.com. Mark at hotels.com informed me that Joanne at The Line Hotel DC told him that everything was fine with my reservations, which were being held with my platinum AMEX with a 2029 expiration date. Out of an abundance of caution, I called the hotel this morning at 11:53am EST to confirm what Mark shared with me yesterday. I was told there was nothing wrong with my reservations. Then, at 4:10 EST I received this message for each of my reservations -- Your reservation with The LINE Hotel DC at 1770 Euclid Street NW, Washington, DC, 20009 United States of America from Sun, Jan 19 to Tue, Jan 21 was canceled. When hotels.com tried to resolve the issue with The Line Hotel DC, no manager was available to address the issue. The Line Hotel DC breached the terms of my reservation. You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the property: •  Deposit: USD 150.0 per day •  Resort fee: USD 31.31 per accommodation, per night Cancellations and changes There is no charge for cancellations made before 3:00pm (property local time) on Jan 17, 2025. Cancellations or changes made after 3:00pm (property local time) on Jan 17, 2025 or no-shows are subject to a property fee equal to the first night's rate plus taxes and fees. This is an extremely disappointing situation. Do better The LINE Hotel DC! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating This Hotel Has Seen Better Days

The Line has definitely seen better days. I stayed here back in 2019 and absolutely loved the hotel. This time it felt run down, dingy, and had like it needed a renovation. The walls in the room were covered in dark marks and nicks, the furniture looked run down, and the hot water was unreliable. My room also didn't have a bureau (which was odd), so I had nowhere to put my folded clothes. There were also a ton of small amenities missing (no pen and paper, no cotton pads or shower caps in the bathroom, and off brand Nespresso pods). I had wonderful memories of this place, but it I was truly disappointed and ended up checking out a day early. Read less
