Gray Wolf Inn at West Yellowstone

Montana, Wild West

The hotel

For most, the location of Gray Wolf Inn & Suites would be enough: just two blocks from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, you’re minutes from its famous natural attractions. But that didn't stop the owners giving the inn a $1.4 million makeover, with everything from the rooms to the swimming pool getting a facelift. Welcoming guests all year round, so you can see the region in every season, the inn’s spacious rooms and suites are popular with families. The complimentary parking means road trips are easy, although many West Yellowstone highlights are within strolling distance, with Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center just over the road, and Yellowstone Historic Center and Yellowstone IMAX Theatre two blocks away.

Have stayed here for years, must have new management. NO enforcement on facemasks, dogs not leashed, music from otherrooms lasted till 5:00 am , management nowhere. Left mess for Sindum, no call back, probably will stay elsewhere next year, if you cant sleep why go anywhere!

The hotel made it so enjoyable. Great breakfast, thoughtful extras and even a campfire and s'mores! Every Staff member was great. Kelly, Craig Brandon and Kris were super stars. Great job. We will be back in summer too!

The room was very spacious with 2 queen beds, an armchair, a big desk with its chair and 2 large windows. Plenty of room to navigate, coffee, tea and a good size fridge to store bottles of water soda and snacks. Front desk was welcoming and helpful.

Wife and I stayed for three night. I booked two different types of room and was told over the phone that I have to check out, clear out my stuff and check in again to go in a different room. I totally understand because I was not able to book the same room type because it was no longer available. That happened because we decided to add a third night near the arrival date. I arrived at the hotel and Brandon hooked me up so I kept the same room... such a relief! Thanks! Room was very clean and comfy. Got a nice view too! All the staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Shaun at the front desk recommended places and were super helpful. I found the place very convenient because there were 4 sets of washer/dryer that’s free to use. Laundry soap can be purchased at the front desk for $1 or you can bring your own! So cool! There’s also an underground parking that protects your car from being covered in snow. Also a good and warm place to load and unload. You can walk across the street to the Grizzly Wolf Discovery Center and McDonalds. Very close to shops and restaurants as well. We will definitely stay here again! Read less
