Holiday Inn at West Yellowstone

Montana, Wild West

The hotel

The Holiday Inn – renowned for its value, quality guest service and amenities – is an ideal base camp from which to explore America’s first national park. A welcome retreat, it boasts a lovely indoor swimming pool to relax in, as well as a hot tub and sauna to soothe tired limbs. The Branch Restaurant & Bar offers ‘open range cuisine’ with beef and game dishes infused with plenty of local flavour plus children’s menus and lunch boxes are available. We also recommend one of the local brews – Moose Drool, Trout Slayer and Old Faithful Pale Ale to name but a few! After dinner, why not head to the Branch Casino, it’s small but perfectly packed with a fun atmosphere.

I am convinced that within the IHG hotels that the Holiday Inn seems to be a quality that can always be counted on. The beds were nice, clean, comfortable. The hotel was in a great area with shopping near and the entrance to Yellowstone was just a few minutes away. As usual, my granddaughters, sister, and I were traveling together again. Being in an area like Yellowstone you know it will be super busy. Again being from San Diego, Ca. you are not accustomed to the small-town mentality, the time to show kindness. Not saying SD is bad it just seems busier. My granddaughters were at ease and were treated like they mattered. At the restaurant, our servers Sofia and Nathan were very busy but had time to make us all feel very special. The busser Joel was really nice and busy at every second keeping tables clean. Food was great service was on point. My granddaughters were in the pool quite a bit and the game room is a plus! Very safe enviornment. Read less

The Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone looks like many of the lodges in West Yellowstone, except for the Holiday Inn sign. The hotel sits on the extended centerline of the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. So, all you do is drive out of the hotel parking lot and get in line for the park, which is only about a mile away. Nice rooms and… Read more

I was there three nights and since they were doing room service on request, I was able to do a daily towel exchange without issue. Dinning was through an adjacent restaurant, The Branch Restaurant and Bar, which you could have your meals put on your room tab. There was an inside swimming pool available for guests. Read less

We loved our stay here. The room was large and very clean. The staff was great, and the location to Yellowstone was incredible. Three blocks to the entrance. Very walkable to downtown. Indoor pool and hot tub another bonus. Plenty of parking for oversized vehicles. I would strongly recommend this hotel

The hotel was in a great location and our room was nice. Surprised to find a jacuzzi in the room! Didn’t remember reserving a room with a jacuzzi but it would be nice for a romantic evening. The hotel was in a great location and our room was nice. Surprised to find a jacuzzi in the room! Didn’t remember reserving a room with a jacuzzi but it would be nice for a romantic evening. My 2 star rating is due to the breakfast which we prepaid for when we reserved our room. My husband and I decided on the buffet. Huge mistake. The “French toast” (cold flat bread) was not warm. It had been sitting out for a while and was hard around the edges and had no flavor. The eggs were luke warm. I found two dead ants on my French toast and when I showed it to the manager (a friendly but ineffective young man) he had no words. Honestly no words. I also told him the pine nuts (which I thought were walnut pieces) were so stale they ruined the oatmeal!! Like rancid oil. I asked for a credit to my room bill and the manager agreed but when I checked out there was no credit. I did it even want to deal with it and we left. Feeling sick from the big infested food and potential bacteria from the food not being at the proper temps. Read less

The rooms were huge and very clean. The showers were large. The hotel was a couple of minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone, so the location was excellent. There was a game room with air hockey and 6 XBOX consoles, which made for fun play time for the kids each evening after visiting the park.
