Holiday Inn at West Yellowstone

Montana, Wild West

The hotel

The Holiday Inn – renowned for its value, quality guest service and amenities – is an ideal base camp from which to explore America’s first national park. A welcome retreat, it boasts a lovely indoor swimming pool to relax in, as well as a hot tub and sauna to soothe tired limbs. The Branch Restaurant & Bar offers ‘open range cuisine’ with beef and game dishes infused with plenty of local flavour plus children’s menus and lunch boxes are available. We also recommend one of the local brews – Moose Drool, Trout Slayer and Old Faithful Pale Ale to name but a few! After dinner, why not head to the Branch Casino, it’s small but perfectly packed with a fun atmosphere.

We had a great 3 night stay. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, and quiet room. Staff was friendly and helpful with restaurant info. It was a restful retreat after active days touring Yellowstone Park. Free laundry facilites are available (which is a really nice feature). I just wish there were more than 2 washing machines. Machines were not available until 3rd night I was there, after dragging my laundry bag down from the 3rd floor several times the 2 previous days. Other guests I met in laundry room stated same frustrations. I would still recommend this fine hotel, but don't count on being able to catch up your laundry, if you are on an extended vacation. We had a one night stay here and it was great! The beds and pillows were amazing! The pool area was nice with lots of pool noodles for the kids. They were fixing the hot tub when we were there so we didn’t get to use it. I did have to wait about 5 minutes for someone at the front desk to check us in. And the restaurant had horrible service. Game room, indoor swimming pool, and afternoon ice cream social was a plus with the kids. Available washer/dryers helped keep our dirty laundry in check after day hikes in the park. Within easy walking distance of many of the town’s eateries. My first choice for hotels when I return to Yellowstone! Read less

I stayed here on my own in April right after the West entrance opens to Yellowstone. The hotel is literally less than a minute from the park. The prices were reasonable but I was surprised they did not have a breakfast for the guests. I would stay here again but having a breakfast would be a must because the meal options in West Yellowstone are… Read more

A little outdated, but cut our visit short as we discovered this was the highest $ place in town. We enjoyed our visit to the park. When we checked in breakfast another $10 each instead of included in a 400.00 nightly rate? Whoa!
