The hotel was so clean, the front desk associates were so nice and friendly. Complimentary kayaks to use on the river right outside as well as bikes to use on the trails the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We just returned from a 4-night stay at Pine Lodge and didn't want to leave! We travel frequently and this is easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Sooo much value here! We just returned from a 4-night stay at Pine Lodge and didn't want to leave! We travel frequently and this is easily one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Sooo much value here! To start, the amenities go above and beyond. There are complimentary bikes, kayaks, and SUPs you can take out as long as you like. We took bikes several times, and the hotel is located directly on the Whitefish bike path with easy access to the lake. We even saw deer on the path! There are also free s'mores kits for the fire pits (a really nice thoughtful touch), and LOADED grab & go bags for breakfast/snacks. There seems to be some thought given to the fact that most people in Whitefish are heading out for active days, as offerings include fresh fruit, protein bars, peanut butter, and more. Toiletries are really nice Bath & Body Works Stress Relief items, again a thoughtful touch. Although we didn't need it, there are two free airport shuttles as well. Next, in the midst of the pandemic, this place is sparkling clean and has gone to great lengths to keep guests and staff safe. Instead of breakfast and coffee being left out, the reception staff keeps it behind the desk and you simply request what you want. They're doing away with daily housekeeping, but you can ask for anything you need. We also witnessed multiple employees sanitizing common areas. You also cannot beat the location! Downtown is a 7-8 minute walk, the lake was about a 12 minute bike ride, Safeway and a very well-stocked Town Pump are just next door for groceries and gas, the airport is less than 15 minutes away, and Glacier NP is only about 30 minutes. Finally, staff is incredible - Lukas especially. Warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. In a time when many hourly employees do the bare minimum, this was a welcome surprise. We will absolutely be back! While under normal circumstances I think it would be great. But due to covid there is no daily room cleaning, and the breakfast is a take away prepackaged items from the front desk. Staff was friendly, and helpful.

Choosing the Pine Lodge as our 3 night base during our visit to Glacier National Park was a great decision. This is top notch place to stay and a 20 to 30 minute drive to the Park. The entire facility was spotlessly clean, with a real focus on sanitation and safety during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff provided the best service we have experienced in our extensive travels. This included everyone from the front desk to the groundskeepers. Uniformly excellent, friendly and accommodating, they made our stay exceptional. The amenities included an indoor, outdoor pool with extra towels available, a hot tub, free washer and dryer on the ground floor, a game room with billiards, and an exercise room. There were also free bikes and free kayaks for guests to use. Kayaking on the Whitfish River was delightful [just paddle upstream to the right when starting out] . We enjoyed it so much we went a second time. It was fun to be on the river with lot of ducks, people and even deer on the banks. Pine Lodge is well situated for a visit to Whitefish. Walking into town along a trail by the River was a 10 minute walk and fun to do. There are fun little shops and restaurants downtown. A large Safeway supermarket is a five minute walk in the other direction. The Lodge provided an excellent breakfast.[in a bag] at the front desk with a choice of bagels, muffins, fruit, yoghurt, lots of coffee, etc. Off of the lobby is an extensive balcony that overlooks the river. We enjoyed eating our breakfast out there on the socially distanced tables provided. For night owls, the balcony also has a fire pit. One of the reasons we selected Pine Lodge was the ability to have our small dog with us. The hotel even provided waste bags and a special pet trash can on the side of the building. Walking alone at night with my dog felt very safe. We tried to think of any negatives, but all we could come up with was that the pet fee was on the high side. [Still worth it] This is not a 2 star hotel as it is often shown on travel sites. It may not have a restaurant or bell hops, but it is a 4 star hotel in terms of the total facility and service. This explains the higher price, but still a good value. Read less

It was a really fun way to explore town and the trails and ride to the beach. Would have taken a kayak but it was rather chilly when we were there and the river was low but could definitely see that it would have been fun earlier in the summer. The hotel was clean and the sheets are so soft! That is a huge bonus for sure. The staff is helpful but wish some of them would wear their masks over their mouth AND nose. At least there is plexiglass between them and the public. Read less
