The hotel located in one of the best towns in Wyoming. The place is very happening and live. But the hotel is offering a very average stay. The hotel is pretty old and there is hardly any recent renovation happened. I am not sure that is it their deliberate decision to keep the old touch, but I didn't like it. The hotel is pretty old and there is hardly any recent renovation happened. I am not sure that is it their deliberate decision to keep the old touch, but I didn't like it. Also, the hotel is very big. It has a front section and a back section. They are serving a good breakfast. I could have rated them 4 stars, but considering their room rate I was expecting more as part of room and service offerings. Read less

This motel had a very convenient location. The rooms were large and fairly clean. The staff was friendly. Very quiet area. Rooms could use remodeling. Bathroom door is at the room door. Pillows were half size and beds could use new mattresses.

Stayed here for two nights in July. We had the “luxury” suite so we could have a kitchenette. Not worth it. ($380 per night?!?) We didn’t need the in room hot tub and the kitchenette was pretty useless. Hardly any utensils. There are two rooms in the suite. Quite large, really. The mattress on the pullout was ancient. Lumpy, in poor condition. We… Read more

We didn’t need the in room hot tub and the kitchenette was pretty useless. Hardly any utensils. There are two rooms in the suite. Quite large, really. The mattress on the pullout was ancient. Lumpy, in poor condition. We were able to get a rollaway that had a better mattress. The rooms were very dark. We left after two nights and stayed the rest of our week at the Snow King hotel. The bathroom had two showers , which is convenient. The pool across the parking lot is nice enough. Breakfast was unremarkable. Adequate. Kind of an expensive place for what you get. It is close to town and the fairground. So the location is pretty good. Read less

We stayed at the 49er last month during our visit to the Tetons and Yellowstone parks and could not be happier with the location. It is a kind of different property, though, one that does not initially strike you as if you have made a good choice, but for us at least, all turned out fine in the end. We were greeted by a friendly staff who asked us to return around 3pm when our room would be ready. Upon arriving at our room we found the first "oddity" was that there were two doors. One faced the car park, which turned out to be extremely convenient because we parked just outside. But there is another door by the bathroom and closet leading into a covered hallway. We did not use it but imagined it would be quite convenient in inclement weather. Our first impression of the room was that we might have stepped back into the 70's. It was a bit dark with low ceilings and a very dated bathroom area. But it was quite large by comparison with more modern properties and had a very comfortable reclining chair! We half expected a tube type TV, but there was a workable flat screen with most channels, although not much in high def. A box was provided on the desk that offered some USB ports. Once we got things sorted, there was adequate lighting from the lamps to brighten up the room and make it a bit more workable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very large, almost a camp-like atmosphere, with lots of selections, though a bit lacking in fruits, and there was no oatmeal to he had. But things moved along nicely. All in all, we had to admit that regardless of first impressions, the room and the hotel turned out to be quite workable for us, and we had an enjoyable stay. But the price in high season (early June) was much more than we would have expected for a similar hotel in any other location. Read less
