Stayed 2 nights. Chain hotel so not really charming. Room nice and confortable. Hotel well placed for visiting Cody - everything walking distance. The most awful coffee for breakfast during our 2 weeks vacation.

Even though I didn’t use the pool it was always busy. The only thing that was strange was the air conditioning only goes down to 66 degrees but not a huge deal for me. The walk in shower was wonderful. The hotel is only 3 blocks from downtown Cody. I will definitely be back. Read less

The front desk staff were super friendly and the House keeping staff were awesome as well when we saw them in the hallway. The room was perfect. It was updated and spotless. I brought Clorox wipes and wiped down everything but did not see anything that wasn't perfectly clean. Location is great too. Easy walk to downtown just a block away. If I ended up in Cody this is for sure where I would stay again. Read less

The Holiday Inn Cody is average as chain hotels go, but by Cody standards it is very good. Yes, it doesn't have curb appeal. It is easy to drive-by without noticing, thanks the fork in the road on the approach into Cody. However, don't let its unattractive, bland external appearance fool you. The rooms are comfortable, modern, spacious and, most importantly, clean. Yes, this is a MASSIVE hotel. But you get the consistency of Holiday Inn, which has greatly improved in recent years. The front desk clerk at check-in was very welcoming and professional. The clerk at check-out was polite, but never asked how my stay was nor addressed me by name. The outdoor pool was closed, but would be very nice on a warm summer day. 1) No bottle of water in room. 2) No weekend newspaper in lobby. 3) No local information in room. 4) Tacky roadside motel-style closet, aka a rack on the wall but no actual closet. 5) No dry cleaning or laundry service valet bags. 6) Bathroom is showing some wear-and-tear, especially tiles and shower. Cabinet under countertop has some scratches and damage. 7) Shower design is bad because you can't turn on the shower without getting wet. Also, the shower head is very high, creating a slip-and-fall hazard for shorter people trying to adjust the shower head. As for price: At $125-plus per night in May it is about $25-$30 overpriced, especially with the closed pool and limited bar/restaurant operations. I imagine summer rates are well above $200 a night, which is very expensive for a Holiday Inn. Despite not being a big IHF fan, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if the price was right. It's probably the best hotel in Cody. Read less
