This was our second stay at The Wort, our first being 10 months previous. We arrived early and as our room was not ready, we left our bags to return later. We came back and were handed the keys to our 'Grand Room' on the second floor where our bags had already been taken for us, which was a nice thoughtful touch. The room was a nice size with a large wooden bed and several comfy armchairs to relax in. The bathroom was a good size with an over-bath shower. So, the room was indeed 'Grand' but the view out the window was far from it - looking out over a yard with construction going on opposite and a couple of containers with rubbish everywhere was hardly the view to go with the room. We quickly unpacked to get some rest as we had travelled some distance and were trying to adjust to the 7 hours’ time difference when within minutes of putting out head on the pillow a loud rumbling / whirring noise could be heard vibrating throughout the room. It seemed centered around the bathroom area and at first, we thought it would pass but for an hour (in the late afternoon) it continued on and on. The rest we so hoped to have didn’t happen so on our way out we made comment at the front desk about the noise and to the receptionists credit she looked at our reservation, which was for 6 nights and immediately offered to move us to another room (I kind of got the feeling that this is possibly a known issue and in fact I seem to recall the managers comment to someone on our last visit that it was something they were looking to rectify – well they haven’t!). Our room move was done promptly and we ended on the ground floor with a room that overlooked the street and the nearby hills, which was far better than the previous room, though we felt this room was certainly not as plush as the one we had just left. The bed was extremely comfy and a mixture of pillows certainly helped get a good nights sleep. There was a nice coffee maker, though we did ask for the decaf to be substituted with normal coffee but this never got honoured. All in all The Wort is a lovely hotel, with some historic value. Its location is superb, making visits to the restaurants and shops easy and with The Tetons just 15 minutes down the road who can complain. Having stayed twice now, I’m not so certain we will be going back though. Read less

Have visited Jackson many times but this was our first chance to try the restaurant in the Wort Hotel. Walked in and were seated right away. We had a very good dinner. Excellent service and could hear the band from the bar as well. Worth the stop.

Our room was very nice. We were upgraded to a king suite. The room was spacious and contained two televisions, a sectional leather sofa and a wet bar. The only issue was that the air conditioner wall unit was very loud. Once we turned it off it was much more pleasant. Parking is 1/2 block away in a gated lot, which was convenient. We paid extra… Read more

We paid extra for breakfast at the Silver Dollar Restaurant and it was good. The hotel is right near the town square with shopping and restaurants. Read less

An exceptionally comfortable and welcoming hotel in the heart of Jackson - walking distance to most of town. Two years later the staff remembered us. Dinner and breakfast in their restaurant were also tasty local options.

We did not stay at the hotel but had lunch in the restaurant. We were doing the tourist thing in Jackson Hole and looking for a break from the shoulder to shoulder crowds. There are what appear to be hundreds of restaurants and bars to choose from for a lunch stop. We happened to be walking by the Wort and decided to make this our stop. Once inside there is a historic elegance to this hotel which made it almost a step back in time. The service was excellent and the lunch was amazing, all reasonably priced. The restaurant was not noisy so it was nice to have a conversation about the days events without having to raise your voice. We would definitely recommend the Wort restaurant as a stop during the day Read less
