Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite

Yosemite National Park, USA

The hotel

Tenaya Lodge’s setting takes some beating — bordering the Sierra National Forest and set on 75 stunning acres, it’s surrounded by nature. The hotel has plenty of activities, including a choice of trails and a guided walk to a hidden waterfall. Grab your hiking boots, or maybe a mountain bike, and head out to explore. At the end of the day, take a dip in the outdoor pool, get a s’mores kit and sit around the outdoor fire pits, or grab your torch and head out on a night hike. After all that activity, you’re likely to sleep well tonight.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Awesome Tour of Yosemite

Just back from a really nice, inspiring half-day tour of Yosemite. Typically I prefer to explore on my own but this tour was so well curated, guided, and commentated by our guide Tyler. Tyler knows the park inside and out and has lived here about 15 years. Excellent! Thanks Tyler.

Nice rooms - mediocre service You’ll get a $30 resort fee, even if you don’t use their “resort” facilities. Coffee for &10.00??? The hotel owners sued Yosemite NP after the hotel trademarked and stole place names that had been in use for decades (eg, the “Awahnee Hotel”). The owners of TENAYA Lodge, Delaware North. don’t deserve your business.

Every employee we even passed by was friendly and attentive. We had one of the cottages which was roomy and comfortable. We loved having a fireplace in the room. No matter how cold it could get outside, this room was set to handle with the thick comforters, blankets and heating. I must say we were blessed by the small amount of guests in the hotel due to the time of year. but even with a lot of people, this would be an enjoyable place to stay. There are rental bikes to ride around the 32 acre property and also a shuttle that will take you around Yosemite and other places. While we were there a 43' Christmas tree was put up in the lobby with 36,000 lights. WOW it was gorgeous!! Being an ecco minded establishment it was just the top 1/3 so the rest of the tree will continue to grow. This is a great place for families and couples. With the amount of amenities available at the lodge, you can be as active or relaxed as you want. Read less

Beautiful well run operation. Not cheap ( price can very a bit) but well worth it in my view. Great setting. Great service . Many you family’s were there enjoying various amenities. Indoor pool and game room +. Restaurants have very good food too. Classy place!
