Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite

Yosemite National Park, USA

The hotel

Tenaya Lodge’s setting takes some beating — bordering the Sierra National Forest and set on 75 stunning acres, it’s surrounded by nature. The hotel has plenty of activities, including a choice of trails and a guided walk to a hidden waterfall. Grab your hiking boots, or maybe a mountain bike, and head out to explore. At the end of the day, take a dip in the outdoor pool, get a s’mores kit and sit around the outdoor fire pits, or grab your torch and head out on a night hike. After all that activity, you’re likely to sleep well tonight.

We stayed in the Explorer Cabins, and love it. The cabins were well furnished, construction was solid, and we had a ton of privacy. Loved the friendly happy hour, and it was so easy to get to the main lodge. Our sons (11 & 9) loved the smores kits and the huge fire pit. I loved the onsite spa services.

Our 3 day trip to Yosemite was absolutely perfect thanks to our stay at the Tenaya Lodge. We didn’t plan out too much , so we quickly checked in with the concierge to see if we could join the tour group for the next day. Thankfully we were added and we had the tour to ourselves!! Tyler, our tour guide into Yosemite park was very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Tyler has an extensive knowledge of not only the park but of nature, historical relevance to nature conservation and national parks. As history nerds, my husband and I very much enjoyed talking about John Muir and the history of the native Ahwahnechee. Additionally, he was able to guide us to great lunch spots and he even got us to see some climbers on El Capitan! This tour was the highlight of our trip and If you’re able to stay at the Tenaya do not skip this tour!! The Tenaya itself was very hospitable for our honeymoon, we ate at the jacklopes restaurant inside of the resort each night and spent plenty of time at the indoor pool! A great honeymoon thanks to the wonderful staff!! Couldn’t rate this place any higher! Read less

I like the hotel, location, amenities, etc but I believe it is about 20-30% overpriced Staff were nice - I loved the fireplace Wifi speed is so so Restaurants: I liked the brunch Front desk: not too informative on trails and other info - they try to sell you tours!
