My husband and I stayed here one night in May! Nice clean & comfortable room, excellent breakfast buffet, and good dinner at Jackalope’s Bar. The best part was the bus tour with Pat!!!!! It was a beautiful day, nice bus, great commentary. We would definitely return.

We saw the pictures of Tenaya on here and weren't disappointed. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We received complimentary drinks on arrival. Good gift shop and deli. Spa and pools inside and out. Staff very helpful. Food in the bar great too. Would certainly stay here again if returning to the area.

We had a wonderful 10 hour tour with Jarrett! Worth every dollar spent. Can't imagine what it would have been like to have been in our own car. We never would have been able to go and see all the sites (especially Glacier Point. Tenaya Lodge's transportation van (open retractable convertible top) is the only one of its kind in the valley at the present time. The visibility (sitting in the back part of the van) was very special. What made the tour special was Jarrett's knowledge(and love) of the park. The lodge itself does need some spiffing up. It is pricey but worth being near the park. The staff is very pleasant and the food was acceptable. I hope the addition of the cabins is the first phase in the refurbishing of the resort. Read less

Like other people have said, the hotel is nice but I feel it is not worth the price. At least I booked the room far in advance and got a good deal. I wanted a coffee one evening and went to the "deli" $9.00 for 2 coffee's!! The next day I mentioned how expensive the coffee is and the employee said "keep your cup and you get free refills." No one… Read more

I wanted a coffee one evening and went to the "deli" $9.00 for 2 coffee's!! The next day I mentioned how expensive the coffee is and the employee said "keep your cup and you get free refills." No one told us! I asked for another cup and had to pay again for it. This is just knit picking but also the food was expensive. We saved money and had great dinners in Oakhurst. Two good things about the room were the pillows and the good water pressure in the shower. I didn't notice the noise but our room was at the end of the hallway. If money is no object the Tenaya may be your place to go. The room was also way to warm!! Read less

The good first . The tour of Yosemite Park was excellent . We had Jarrett who gave us a lovely day despite early problems with the sliding roof panels on the Mercedes minibus . He was very knowledgeable and very pleasant . And the park was , as they all say , awesome ! And Lynn in the concierge office is a lovely lady who gave us some very good information . And the waiting staff in the restaurants were all friendly . However . Check in was a nightmare . Our booking had been made using the British calendar method , I.e. date , month , year . The U.S. do it month, date, year . The four other hotels we visited in the U.S. had no problem with this , but the Tenaya seemed to think we were booking in for two months , starting a month ago , and this took a long time to sort out . Then when we got to our room the bed was covered with rose petals and chocolates, and a greeting card for somebody else wishing them a happy birthday. So back to reception to check we had the correct room . We had , and they blamed housekeeping for the error . The room itself was very nice , but as other people have mentioned , the walls are very thin , and the sliding door into the bathroom is less than ideal . And again , as others have mentioned , you get the idea they are very keen to part you from your money . Read less
