Fantastic property for kids and families. Pool and a kid friendly ropes course on property. Enjoy s'mores over an open fire nightly. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is high quality with lots of choices to make everyone happy. Great live music out by the pool with a guitar and fiddle player. Lobby guitarist plucking out classical tunes was beautiful. Layout of the property was great, easy to walk to the lodge from your cabin. We received a coupon for free s'mores and 2 free drink coupons for my wife and I. Rooms are comfortable with fireplaces and comfortable beds. Wifi was fast and easy to connect. We did the day long Tour of the Yosemite part and it was amazing, a high light of our trip. Fabulous Phil was our driver in a convertible bus. Interesting, insightful, comfortable tour. We started at 7:30 am and went till 5:30 pm. You get to see all of the park highlights with great insider stories and Informaiton from a guide who loves and enjoys the park as a guide and avid camper, fisher, and hiker. Phil was entertaining and educational. We got to see a bear and some amazing granite sights. Some things for Tenaya to work on (these are nit picks): When I called to book our tour with the concierge a few months in advance I was told that the nightly flashlight tours did not require a reservation. Then at the lodge I was told that we did need a reservation. Just get more consistent with messaging to the guests. Also, we went to use our "free drink" coupon and my wife wanted something that was not covered by the coupon. The bartender was short, snippy and rude in explaining to us that we could not do that. It was not what he said, it's how he said it. Get with the program team. The place where you choose to live thrives on tourism. Try not to piss the money spending tourists off. It's a pretty easy equation. Make your reservations early and staying out of the lodge is not a bad thing, I think were we stayed was more quiet than the lodge with easier parking. Also, visit the pizza place near the lodge, it is really good! Read less

Very good pools. Nice restaurants outside the hotel. Comfy beds and good bathroom. Helpful nice staff at the front desk Internet was very bad! Couldn’t send simple email. A little bit far from the Yosemite valley. A little expensive.

Bad experience from the moment we stepped out of our car to check in. On their website, the photos of their pool, show a woman in the pool, relaxing, drinking a glass of white wine. In the background, is a couple relaxing poolside in lounge chairs. Very peaceful, quiet setting. 🤣 We step out of the car (the pool is just inside where you pull in to unload your luggage) and it is like a kids water park with some resort employee barking commands into a microphone! Not quite the same reality the website photos portrayed. On to the front desk. We reserved and paid for a “PREMIUM Room”. Room was very uncomfortable. I went back to front desk to confirm we were given the correct room. We were. The photos on their website are NOTHING like the actual room we were given. The bedding was hard and starchy. Mattress was hard as a rock and super squeaky. Walls were paper thin. You could hear EVERYTHING next door (screaming child) and in the hall. Bathroom was tiny. Shower had super low water pressure. “Free WiFi” 🤣 No WiFi service in the room. We have stayed in Holiday Inn Express hotels that were far superior. This property is advertised as a 4 diamond resort. The rooms definitely ARE NOT! I felt like I complained the entire time we were there. It was such an unpleasant experience, we went to the airport 4 hours early. The grounds are nice. Staff is friendly enough. We paid almost $600/night, and were expecting a $600/night experience. No exaggeration, it was a $79 hotel room. TOTAL RIP-OFF! Read less
