The hotel

Coral Bar is one of the most impressive in the Maldives – more than just a bar it’s an entertainment centre with a lively sports bar.

Where is it

In South Ari Atoll, amidst world-class coral and diving spots. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 25 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Family Overwater Villas feature a sundeck with direct lagoon access, bathroom with separate shower and jacuzzi tub, PlayStation games console, 1 king-size bed, and bunk beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Premium Sunset Overwater Villas with Pool feature a private infinity pool on the sundeck as well as direct lagoon access, separate bathtub and shower, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Club Sunset Overwater Pool Villas enjoys a spacious sundeck, 12-sqm infinity pool, and a bedroom with 1 king-size bed overlooking the ocean, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Club Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villas feature duplex accommodation so it's an ideal choice for families or groups travelling together. The spacious villas offer a deck with sun loungers and a plunge pool, bathroom with separate shower and jacuzzi tub, and 1 king-size bed plus a twin bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids.

What an Amazing place to stay, Food, staff and facilities are exactly what you imagine when you think Maldives. We Did all the tours and fun activities and still relaxed. The Fishing charter was very expensive and they only had one rod for four people to jig with but we still got A yellow fin Tuna which they cooked for us.

And that´s exactly how it was.The meals at the club, the massages at the spa, the excursions, the morning snorkeling, just the way you want it. In the Club, there was a new face in the kitchen. Pisamae has replaced Senthil,who is now working in the Reef restaurant. No loss of quality!! Their Nigri and Uramaki platter was great. The service by Mae and Irfan was as usual excellent. This time, the house service was carried by Habib, Samsul´s cousin, who was in charge in the autumn. We were very happy whis his work. Huhthu, the master of entertainment, shortened our evenings with Rocky Horror P.S. and with his professional karaoke organisation. On our private boat tour, Dagmar made sure that Akram, the best connoisseur of the local waters, was our guide. Manta ray, whale sharks, turtels and dolphins, all seen. I don´t really want to mention the morning snorkeling. Most of the time we went into the water at the diving center about 6:30 am. At this time it is absolutely empty, the visibility is usually excellent, and there are lot of fishes around. I hope that most people will miss this sentence and that we will find the same conditions on our next visit to Centara. Of course, we don´t want to miss the opportunity to thank our friend Senthil, Yuva, Nalin and Pat. Who, if necessary, have taken care of every problem. Many thanks to the whole staff. This was our first overseas family holiday with Children aged 2, 5 & 7 and the experience we had at Centra was nothing short of perfection in our eyes! The kids had the most amazing holiday and that was largely due to the wonderful service we experienced, mainly through out the Reef Restaurant and Coral Bar. The staff at Reef during our buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner made the experience very special for our Children, so much to the fact that they created a nice farewell message on a table for us and when one of the the young waiters came to say good bye to our boys, our eldest was brought to tears as he was very to sad to be leaving and felt as if he created a great friendship with the waiter. The snorkeling on the house reef around the entire island was memorizing and I can only imagine would be very hard to beat. If you love the ocean then I highly recommend staying here with your family! We have had excellent treatment from everyone at this resort! After a delay due to weather they took perfect care of us and turned this into an amazing experience. We especially love the attention to detail and cleanliness of our room from Afsal. He is marvelous!
