Our first trip to Iberostar gets two thumbs up! If check-in was any indication on how our stay would turn out, then we were in for a treat. Pierre checked us in, and he is such an awesome guy with a great personality! Not everyone is able to deal with the public in such an elegant way. Kudos to my fellow Cancer brother! He’s personable yet professional. In fact, everyone that I encountered was this way. The gentleman who brought our luggage (forgive me as his name escapes me) and Kaiden, our concierge. Our travel party consisted of myself, my husband and our two daughters (ages 18 and 15). We stayed in rooms 3407 (double beds) and 3410 (king bed). The rooms were nice, but a bit subpar compared to other resorts I have stayed in. The views from both rooms were pool and ocean view. Room 3410 had a completely private balcony, meaning the wall between balconies went from floor to roof-hope that makes sense. The other room’s balcony was about ¾ of a wall and had a frosted partition on top of that. It was still quite private. The grounds of the resort were beautiful. I loved the beach, and we had no problems finding chairs. Of course, there were vendors out, but a polite “no thank you” and you can commence to lay out and relax. Take caution as the beach did have quite a bit of rocks. My girls did enjoy the pool. Their only complaint was that the lazy river was super lazy because the current was not strong enough to allow them to float around. They had to push themselves on their own, but it didn’t stop them from going back a few times during our visit. My only sore points were the food and the 90-minute vacation seminar. We ate at the Italian, Hibachi, and seafood restaurants. All of them were kind of disappointing when it came to the food, but not the service. We could have eaten at the buffet for much of our stay. The seminar took some time away from our vacation as this was the first one we had in years so I would have preferred to do something else. But I cannot be too upset because I was willing to attend. Our host at the event was Connie or Khani (I apologize as I may have the spelling wrong) and she was absolutely amazing! When we return, we will forgo this for sure. All in all, I would return to this resort, but I would eat at local restaurants and the resort’s buffet. If this spot is on your list, give it a try. I believe you would enjoy the resort. Read less

Bad service, not good entertainment, angry staff, bad foods. Everything was max 3 stars. I was in the same hotel in Cancun and they are not comparable. I would not back to this hotel anymore. Not reasonable for this price. Don’t waste your money.

This was our first trip to Iberostar, but our 5th to an all-inclusive resort. In Jamaica, we've also been to Beaches Negril. There were 10 of us, including 2 seniors and 4 teenagers. We all had a wonderful time - the teens had the time if their lives. Sit down dining is only available at dinner, including 5 options. All the restaurants were wonderful. Asian, steakhouse, Italian, seafood (on the water), Mediterranean. For breakfast & lunch it's buffet, which is a bit one note. There is also a food truck with jerk chicken on the beach if you don't want to clean up for an indoor buffet lunch. The resort has plenty of beach chairs - we never had a problem finding a chair, which was a pleasant surprise. Pool chairs need to be reserved in the morning. We brought old hats and books to leave on the chairs. The rooms are spacious and clean with nice balconies. The entertainment staff are INCREDIBLE. They learned our kids' names and had games for them every afternoon. Tevin and Carlos are beyond amazing. Also there are hobi cats, kayaks, and snorkeling included. I can't give this resort 5 stars because there were a few difficult and annoying issues. It's difficult to get dinner reservations, even starting right at check in. We had to visit the concierge desk 4 different times to get our reservations worked out. It should take 10 minutes. Also, if you're there for 7 days, you only get 5 reservations, meaning you're stuck at the buffet 2 nights, after being stuck at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. Every other all-inclusive resort has offered freedom to make reservations at any restaurant any night they're open, and have offered 1 or 2 sit down options for breakfast and lunch. The second annoyance was tracking your beach towels. I've never had to check out my beach towels, keep track of them, and turn them in at the end of the day. We didn't even know this was the policy until the third day, at which point we were told our room would be charged for the missing towels. Finally, the beaches are rocky and full of seaweed and sea grass, so if you're looking for that beautiful Caribbean blue, you won't find it here. Overall we had a wonderful visit and made some amazing memories. Most importantly, we were together in a beautiful place, and our children had an incredible time. Read less

Ambassador Uber and Ambassador Shenielle were amazing hosts. Every request was accommodated. They fixed any misunderstanding and opened our vacation to so many amenities. I can't recommend this establishment and these two ambassadors enough. Furthermore, all of the staff were beyond friendly. We connected with them that made the resort feel like home. We began our amazing vacation in the Iberostar Beach resort and Concierge Shonda was impeccable. Read less
