Moon Palace The Grand Cancun

We had another amazing time thanks to an incredible resort and amazing people. This was our fourth trip here in 6 months! We'd like to thank the following who always make our stay extra special: - Enrique, who is the best concierge we've ever had. - Hector who is the best bartender in Cancun (and my Mexican son!) - Miguel, Carlos, and Anebel at the unique day club and Selema at the Fun pool. You guys are wonderful people! - Ana at the Library bar, who's a special family friend. - And the entire staff at Casa Mia, including Angelica, Edwardo, Luis, and Evelyn (who makes the best Mayan Coffee on the resort). We enjoy your friendship as much as the wonderful food. - Juan Carlos at the Grill who is as much of an amazing entertainment as he is server. - The wonderful lady who works in the gift shop at the Unique Day Club. - And the amazing entertainment, especially Rock Legacy (we will meet at monkey business one day soon!!), Ragae Magic, and David McGee. This is our second home and we will continue to come back for the people as much (or more) as the facility. You can tell all these people love their job and love to make your visit special. You're truly missing out if you don't take advantage of their most valuable resource and meet these wonderful people! Read less

We just returned from another amazing stay at Moon Palace Grand. Our first trip to the grand was in 2021 and it was absolutely amazing as well. I did not think that trip could be topped, however the amazing staff at this resort exceeded our expectations for this trip. Every staff member that we encountered genuinely wanted to make our vacation absolutely perfect! We are diamond members of Palace Resorts. Our Diamond concierge Mario Tejeda Perez reached out to us approximately 30 days before our trip to set our itinerary for our family. He asked our preferences for restaurants, spas, tours and arranged our private transportation to the resort. his attention to detail was totally outstanding! He kept in contact with me, arranging golf for our family at the beautiful moon palace course. Also, during the course of our trip, he kept in close communication with me to ensure that there was nothing else that we needed. This was a family trip that we brought our eight month old granddaughter along with us. We spent a good majority of our time at the resorts many beautiful pools. At the Cusco pool, the pool concierge Esmeralda was so friendly and accommodating for our family. We had a wonderful visit with our dear friend Fanta Zuniga Gonzalez as we saw her on the grounds. We met her on a previous trip to Playacar Palace 7 years ago and to reconnect with her was so special! What a wonderful addition to your entertainment team she is! At the Wellness pool the concierge Fernando Galvez took excellent care of us in securing our Cabanas. The pool waitress Isela took care of us for our food and beverage service. The bartenders at the pool were top notch in their mixology skills making us wonderful cocktails. Jose, Vincent’s, Ricardo and Gilberto you are all amazing! The spa at the resort is outstanding. My husband and myself did a citrus couples massage. Our masseuses, Islas and Claudia were absolutely amazing. Such a relaxing massage. Another asset of this property is the amazing restaurants. We had breakfast each morning at Cusco restaurant, and were warmly greeted by the most beautiful smile of the hostess Dianely. Our servers Noe and Martin made us feel like family by the end of the week. Noe even prepared a special going home table for us on the morning of our departure that included fresh flowers and a fruit plate. We love the JC Steakhouse. Our servers Altair and Alberto were outstanding. The steaks were delicious! We had lunch at The Grill one afternoon and had the most amazing and friendly service from Renee. We had told him that we were coming for dinner one night later that week. He then talked to the pool concierge, and found out from him when our reservations were, as he wanted to make a special evening for our family at our dinner reservation. How special! Kevin and Luis at the Jade restaurant gave us excellent service. The stone grilled Flat Iron steak prepared at the table was amazing! Patricia at the Caribeno restaurant gave us wonderful service at another outstanding dinner. The appetizers and food selections at this restaurant were fabulous! The grounds of the resort are absolutely beautiful and are kept manicured to perfection. The Unique day club pool is an absolute must for adults on their trip. Another must is a visit to the Beach Club at waterfront. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a few cocktails overlooking the beach. My only suggestion to the resort would be to keep this lovely place open so you could enjoy cocktails after dinner waterfront. If you are traveling with children, the water park at the grand has everything covered for them. It is truly a family experience for all ages. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Moon Grand has my highest recommendations for families that are looking for an excellent resort for their vacations. The finest quality at this resort is the people that are there to make your vacation so enjoyable and worry free. Each and everyone that we encountered were over the top in the service that they provided and wanted to exceed expectations. We love when we go to the resorts and meet so many wonderful staff members that in the time we are there become part of our family! Read less

I think this is a lovely property and this is my third time here. This resort is great for families. If you are an adult looking for a good time without a lot of kids splashing and running around (and crying and screaming) I would book else where (Leblanc maybe). I would say the service was okay not as great as I have had in years past, but it was decent. Entirely too many children for my taste, it literally was like being at Disneyland except in the adult only areas. The mixed drinks are not good in my opinion, so I just stuck to champagne and wine. The Spa is AMAZING! In my opinion I liked the Moon Palace Sunrise as much as I like the Grand So the extra cost was not really worth the extra cost. I booked a 90 min tour for the second morning I was there and received more money to use in the spa. Totally worth the time, no regrets. Booking a restaurant was very frustrating as they are mostly all via reservation. Overall depending on what you’re looking for, this place is a great value. Read less
